Treatment of patients by rheumatologist
Saw a registrar this week at Hemel hospital. She was the only rheumatologist there- no consultant and five patients in front of us so we waited 1 hour 15 minutes before I was seen. As you all know patients with pmr and other chronic diseases wait on average 5 months to see a rheumatologist and need time

Changing Pain Medication
Hi everyone I am currently taking 30mg Zomorph twice a day which appears to have lost effect as my pain has increased (I have 3 old fractures of the spine, osteoporosis of the spine and hips, osteoarthritis in 3 vertebrae, a slight bulging disc and rheumatoid arthritis). My GP has suggested swapping

Arthritis
Hello people, Can anyone give me recommendations for arthritic pain. I have pain in my finger joints, shoulders, legs etc even if it was a supplement that would help me. I'm only 67 and I don't want to be in pain for the rest of my days. Thanks for reading

2 days ago I felt like I was starting to get the flu. Last night had a sore gum under 1 tooth and woke up through the night and now have a lump on my jaw line that is slowly getting bigger and is painful (throbbing pain) , can't eat. Nothing visible inside. Only thing is I have social anxiety disorder

Who else here, with a confirmed diagnosis of AFIB in the last few years, also has RA?
I am just now reading that people diagnoses with RA, Rheumatoid Arthritis are 60% more likely to develope Afib... Yet Ive never hear of this before. I was told I had RA in July 2009, then in October 2009 it was gone. Then in the summer of 2013 the RA was back with a vengence, and I began Methotraxate

Help/advice
Hello. I was diagnosed with arthritis in my left knee around 5 years ago and then last year with arthritis in a facet joint in my lower back last year. The physiotherapist gave me exercises/stretches to do and I’ve been managing it very well until last weekend. I was almost pain free most of the time

Anyone on Angelita?
Hello. I have recently been put on Adilimumab plus methotrexate after a year on methotrexate for inflammatory arthritis (RA and OA). It has been a rough time with all the meds - how have folks got on with adilimumab? Thanks

Happy Graduate!
Hot, sweaty, tired, happy Graduate! 💪🏻 Psoriatic arthritis survivor, never, ever thought I would do this but graduated today. Even got my pace down to 12.38! Covered about 2.4 miles (still to convert) and now got parkrun and 5k to work towards. Following all your posts has been such a support.

Turning over in bed
I wonder if anyone finds turning over in bed difficult. I find it a huge effort and feel like a beached whale as I struggle to do lots of wiggles! Is it PMR or could it be my 82 year old body, which also has some arthritis? But it is not so much painful as very difficult and exhausting. Comments appreciated

Arthritis pain not relieved by Pred.
I have had to give in and put on a BuTrans patch as well as cocodamol, for pain relief. Most of my pain from PMR has gone but the Pred is not hitting the OA as I expected it would. Any advice would be so helpful, I’m on 15 mg Pred and have been for 4 weeks.

Catch up on Knee problem
Saw doctor yesterday, scan results say its arthritis in knee with both meniscus worn referred for orthopeadic assessment , but as usual weight will be classed as the main culprit no doubt, when in fact I come from a family with history of such arthritis including gout. Anyway we are moving forward now

Safe exercise with osteoarthritis
Although I have lost weight in the last year I have recently been diagnosed with mild/moderate OA. How do I exercise safely without making things worse? I teach linedance too. Thank you.
