Although I have lost weight in the last year I have recently been diagnosed with mild/moderate OA. How do I exercise safely without making things worse? I teach linedance too. Thank you.

Hello, MaggieAndy1954. Welcome back
As this is a peer to peer support forum, I wouldn't like to offer advice but suggest you consult your medical team and see what they suggest.
The forum is a busy place so we have put together this Welcome post to help you find your way around healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... I recommend starting off with a weekly weigh in team, and using the Daily Diary for help with meal planning. The more you can get involved, the more you will get out of it.
Please also see our post about internet privacy and security, especially as you have left your post unlocked healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
I hope you become an active participant and we see you around
Hello. Welcome to the forum. As BridgeGirl has said, it is essential to get advice from a reputable source a GP or specalist.
I have mild OA and excercise quite a bit so fpr me at least a diagnosis hasn't put pay to my excercise. I hope you can take heart from that - a bit.
Hello and Welcome MaggieAndy1954 😊
I was advised to keep moving, no high impact (jumping/running) and little and often. Line Dancing sounds perfect 👍 Also keeping your weight down, every extra pound equates to 4 on your ankles 😩
