Hi

Yes, I have it too and it's extremely frustrating. Also have had an organ transplant so am limited as to what I can take for it. At the moment I take paracetamol 4 times a day and have recently discovered red tiger balm. It does take the edge off. I have been advised this works because in the fingers, there is less distance between skin and pain than perhaps with hip or knee.

There are days when these are not enough and not being able to use our hands without pain is a big challenge.

Looking forward to hearing what others suggest.

Good luck with it,

Mgt

Hand splints can help distortion, also support the damaged joints so they are not further damaged . Splints also hide some of the nasty shapes in your fingers. Arthritic gloves are made of a silky kind of material, skin coloured and support hands plus hiding your hands conditions. Splints also tell people you have a problem, just like a white stick or walking stick. All worth a consideration to take the stress away a little.
