HRT and cirrhosis
I have heard conflicting opinions as to the safety of HRT and cirrhosis. I have cirrhosis. UKELD score 48. KPA score 37.5. My GP has changed my (low dose) HRT to a gel and tablet: Gel = Oestrogel 80g . Tablet = Medroxyprogesterone 5mg. The enclosed leaflets, however, say ‘do not take’ if you have

Discrepancy in test results on same dose
I’ve recently had two blood tests - one at the GP surgery, and one at home fingerprick test with Monitor My Health. They’ve come back with quite different results (for FT4, at least) despite being on the same dose, tests done at the same time of day under the same conditions (24 hrs after levo, T3 dose

Overweight with a high BMI
I have stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis with bowel and bladder adhesions and cyst's on both ovaries. My consultant is really good, however he has specified that I need to get my BMI down to 35 or below before I'd be considered for a full hysterectomy (I've already waited over three years for one)

Menopause alternative to HRT
I am looking for advice regarding Black Cohosh. Has anyone successfully taken this for Menopause? I am worried if I try it it may effect Levo.

Just needing a vent
I am feeling really fed up right now. I got diagnosed about 2 weeks ago with pots and then 2 days later was in hospital with kidney stones. Got released just on time to make a family trip to London so had lots of painkillers to get through it but still managed to enjoy it. I came home and went to gp

Valve replacement surgery. For the third time...
Does anyone have personal knowledge of the recommended surgeon who I believe is based in Wolverhampton. I am waiting to have my mitral and tricuspid valves replaced. My Cardiologist in Derby has referred me to this surgeon as this will be the third replacement of my mitral valve. The first was in

? Ashwagandha and Maca Root If Hypo
Hi.If anyone who regularly uses Ashwagandha and/or Maca Root, I would love to hear of their experience taking these. I have recently read that both Ashwagandha and Maca Root are natural ways to help rebalance hormones in menopausal women. I am not sure though, if they adversely affect thyroid meds.

menopause
Decided not to take HRT as it will feed a fibroid I’ve got and also my thyroid has gone under active so need to get that to a good level. I just wanted to ask what supplements you ladies take to help with the menopause and how it’s helped you. Thanks in advance

PMR or arthritis
Hi all, I have arthritis in my hip awaiting hip replacement however I’m taking 6.5 of Pred. I have really bad pains/stiffness in that leg from top to bottom of my shin which the Dr has put me on gabapentin which so fat (3+ weeks) has not made any difference. Could this be a PMR flare or is it the nerve

Hypermobility/HEDS recommendation?
Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I posted on the EDS forum but it’s not very active and no response yet. I have recently been diagnosed with PoTs and have fibromyalgia and erythromelalgia. I’m in the watch and wait category I believe for auto immune inc lupus but at my recent autonomics

Bupropion/Zyban/Wellbutrin and sleep?
Hello, I started 150mg over a month ago. I had sleep issues previously but now they seem to be getting worse. Psychiatrist has recently asked me to take 300mg as apparently I haven’t responded that well to 150mg. Feeling reluctant to do so. My HRT was adjusted at the same time by an endocrinologist.

Disappointing GP visit…referral for talking therapy and poss CFS, no increase in levo
As I’m still very symptomatic (hypothyroidism with history of results in bio) I went back to the GP to explain this, share my Blue Horizon test results and ask for a trial increase to 125mg of levothyroxine. Not a great appointment- apparently I shouldn’t lay everything at the door of my thyroid! GP

Recommendations for an EDS specialist in London?
Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I have recently been diagnosed with PoTs and I also have fibromyalgia and erythromelalgia. At my recent autonomics appointment my hyperflexible joints were mentioned and I was asked if I'd been assessed for hypermobile EDS. I would like to find someone
