As someone who has previously proffered advice, on this occasion I need some from you guys. I have longstanding acute pain issues, spanning the last 11 years. Following two serious car accidents, the pain across my limbs increased significantly over time and I went from the maximum doses of Tramadol

EDS and Endometriosis
Hello there! I am making a plea to anyone who has both EDS and endometriosis if they can shed any light on what treatment options there may be... I have EDS hypermobility type diagnosed 2 years ago, it was picked up on by my gynaecologist who couldn't attribute all my symptoms to my endometriosis

Myofascial pain syndrome? & persistent knot in calf
I just posted this also on the Patient.co.uk/forum, but thought I would post it here too, so here goes: One of my first PMR symptoms was what I thought was a horrible cramp in my left calf, but it never went away, and was extremely painful when walking. I had recently undergone a spinal fusion, & had

Feeling downhearted.
I had a two level spinal fusion in December, 18 months after I had a disc replaced in my lower back, apart from the usual post-op pain and discomfort I felt I was doing very well. Then 10 weeks post-op I suffered a severe episode of lower back pain so bad I couldn't straighten out or get up from where

RA and Broken shoulder and treatment options
I've had R A since 1992 and currently take 25 mgs of methotrexate and Enbril injection weekly along with usual anti inflamataries etc. A couple of days ago I fell and caused significant injury to my left shoulder, 3 fractures to my humerus one being across the ball joint leaving this partially dislocated

Introducing myself
Hello I’m new to this site although I posted the letter from my cousin to make you laugh like I did or at least smile. I hope that you do not feel this self-indulgent but this is the only way I can let you see why I feel as I do. In the 1970’s I fell through a trapdoor during a performance thus ending

Hi! Tried to update profile twice. Does HealthUnlocked not like iPads or does iPad not like HealthUnlocked? Anyhoo..... Here for the same reasons as the rest! I have early "annoying" symptoms, but not life changing at the moment. I did start Azilect 0.5mg about 3 weeks ago hoping to help the Micrographia

Another diagnosis!
Well having been diagnosed with sero negative RA a few years back, plus OA & needing joint replacements (both knees & foot surgery; & tendon surgery on both elbows!) I've now been diagnosed with Cushing syndrome & Agromegaly - both rare conditions. These are due to a benign tumour int he pituitary gland

Good Early Surgery Outcome but frUstrating Warfarin management
Sorry it's taken a couple weeks to write an update on my one level spinal fusion but here it goes: my GP organized my presurgery bridging using LOVENOX. Felt like kind of a joke as my INR was only 1.5 ten days prior to surgery (my therapeutic range he agreed on is 2.5-3.5, which I only hit once since

My Only way of getting out is becoming a problem!
As some of you may know my wife has a part time job and has the car then. So I do not venture out then. But of late my knees which have Rheumatoid Arthritis are giving me some serious gip. They have been giving way on steps and the stairs and are becoming even more painful at night. I am finding

Have you noticed you run better in bad weather ?
I had a lovely lunch time 30 min run today. The snow started but the paths were clear. I was warm and panthering. Picked up another sprint award from map my run and a pb. Fabulous 5 k. One of the first runs I really enjoyed, I wasn't that tired - shame that work called me back or I would have carried
