Sensitive: *update* Am I one of those miracle stories or is this more heartache and help please...
I don't know what day this is equivalent to for
IVF
transfers - going off the ovulation test if I ovulated 13 or maybe 14 days ago, is that like 8 or 9 days post 5dt?

Changing clinic after 1st IVF failure
Hello I just want to hear your opinion about changing clinics after a failure from the previous
IVF
,is it a good idea? I will have to start everything afresh with this new clinic and new doctor.

Strep B positive during pregnancy
Hi all, I am on my 10th week of pregnancy now (
IVF
pregnancy) we are super excited, however, as it comes with
IVF
I am also worried and really hoping the pregnancy progresses well. Yesterday I got my urine test results and it is mentioned that Strep B is found in my urine.

Failed implantation - what tests should I get to investigate and is the NHS likely to take them into consideration?
Hi, I was lucky enough to get NHS funding for
IVF
. Had one FET so far and it failed to implant. If I wanted to get tests in private to investigate implantation failure, which ones should I get, and are NHS consultants likely to take them into consideration or am I wasting money?

Dealing with it all - egg donation
Still, at 39, a round of “insurance”
IVF
egg freezing led to no eggs surviving, an internal infection and 1 week in the hospital. Now, 2 years into a great marriage (with 2 step kids) 46 yo.

Day 18 of Stims
Do we hold out for longer on this first round of
IVF
? We started on low doses of Gonal F due to PCOS, and only on day 3 of Ganilrelex... Im confused at the process, I know every person has a different experience and people respond differently etc etc.

Anxiety during tww
I can't talk to others about it as my friends and family never go through
ivf
before. I feel like I am on this tiny island called tww.... I find
ivf
is like sonething I cannot control.. like no matter how hard I follow a good diet and exercise there is no guarantee that it will work.

painful bleeding after IVF BFN
does anyone else get more painful bleeding after
IVF
not working? Each one since negative tests seem more painful that keep me virtually on the toilet all day. It’s the type of cervix pain I got delivering my miscarried son. I don’t usually get this much pain with normal Aunt Flo.

Still here, trying for first baby since 2019 - anyone else?
Have had several
IVF
treatments, with only one embryo taking, but leading to termination due to incompatibility with life. I feel like I must be the most complex case ever as every thing seems to be an issue - e.g. low reserve, thyroid issue, high NK cells, an endometrima, cervical fluid issues.

IVF timing question
I was wondering whether anyone could give me some info on when they suppress your cycle to prepare for
ivf
. My dr said it’s a preparation cycle. Do they begin this typically on a certain cycle day? Or do they just do it for a certain length of time?

Do follicle sizes relate to egg quality?
As I am single I will be putting this behind me and concentrating on dating, so no further treatment/
IVF
for me, which brings its own sadness, but I am hoping this is a good insurance policy.

Struggling
Even though now I have my gorgeous little
ivf
boy here it still hasn’t taken that feeling away. This all just feels like a weird dream. Like soon someone is going to wake me up or like someone is just going to come and take him away from me.

***Sensitive*** hope for those over 40
It took us 3 years eventually to get pregnant, 3
ivf
cycles, 5 transfers, and one miscarrage. When I was loosing my hope, I read "It starts with the egg" book and made many changes in my life and started taking suplements. I got pregnant with my own egg and I am due in Dec.

How many cycles counts as a lot?
My friend stated that half the population goes through
IVF
and it's no big deal. Ultimately, it doesn't matter what she thinks, I am done with the friendship. But it does get you thinking....is 3 cycles in 5 months a lot? Is it fairly standard? How many cycles is average over how long?

Implantation failure?
However, we've been recommended
IVF
/ICSI as I am already 42. I responded very well to ovarian stimulation and they collected 15 eggs, 13 of them were mature.

2WW can't sleep
This is my first 2WW and it has been so hard to get this far (nearly 2 years since
ivf
) so I know anxiety is likely to be a big part of the problem. I am still in shock I have finally managed to make it this far.

1st laparoscopy - what to expect?
We've come to the laparoscopy in a roundabout way really as we've experienced fertility issues and after two failed rounds of
IVF
this year and a hysteroscopy to remove a giant polyp in February - I've been recommended a laparoscopy as I had a lot of adhesions and scarring in my uterus in February and
