does anyone else get more painful bleeding after IVF not working?
Each one since negative tests seem more painful that keep me virtually on the toilet all day. It’s the type of cervix pain I got delivering my miscarried son. I don’t usually get this much pain with normal Aunt Flo.

The medication you take during IVF encourages the eggs to grow and the lining of the womb to become even thicker And so when it is unsuccessful your bleeding is heavier and can be painful at times
Hi Givemesunshine. The last failed transfer I had I experienced more pain than my miscarriage I had at 6 weeks. I also had a clot just like the miscarriage. I spoke to the midwife about it saying I thought it was strange but she didn’t comment on it but just said to let them know if it wasn’t settling. Xx
I’m sorry to hear how much pain you are in and what you are going through. I didn’t have this on my first failed transfer but I did on my second failed FET. The pain was horrific and I couldn’t sit properly. I had huge clots that passed too. I found that once the clots passed the pain was a bit more bearable x
Yes, but not always. After the first failed transfer I had to take painkillers to be able to walk and after my last failed transfer the pain came out of nowhere and was so strong I got sick and started to sweat. Other transfers (including 2 chemicals) it was OK.
Hi, i did a post about this a while ago. I was really nieve and kind of just thought that if it didn't work it would be like having a period...omg how wrong was i.I have had a previous miscarriage and there was pain for a bit which made me physcially sick. I passed a clot which you could see the start of the baby growing ( kind of like one of they aliens that are meant to grow) however once passed it was fine. The round in which the ivf didn't work from a fresh cycle i honestly thought something was seriously wrong. The amount of blood/ clots i passed was unreal. Every 15/20mins had to change a pad and we were on holiday so was just a complete nightmare. I just wasn't prepared for it and felt like someone at the hospital after all the appintments etc could have mentioned how it might happen. I know a few people that have needed ivf and always tell them this MIGHT happen so they are prepared! .Hope you are ok and wiahing you all the luck on the future!
It calmed down once I passed a clot then I felt it building again this morning & so painful I felt sick & weak. It quite heavy flow now, still clots. It’s horrible. Like you said the clinic haven’t mentioned it. They just call it a ‘bleed’. I feel like I’m nervous to go out as it was so painful while I was driving yesterday.
