Sorry for not being chatty lately...
He's been told if it takes longer than eight hours he will be in
intensive
care
, if not he will be in high dependency....amongst other awful things. Facial paralysis is likely and speech therapy may be needed, they can't remove it all and he too will need radiotherapy.

Bitter Sweet meeting with my son?

The Doctor was describing it all with utter compassion and in a way that was easily understood. It is such a process that they have to have him as fit as they can but they have to flatten all that

ICU to the ward transition
Hi, I am a nurse working in a general

in the UK and I am interested in finding out how patients and their families felt when/after being transfered from the ICU to a general ward. If it was a negative experience what do you think could have made the transition a little easier?

What can a patient take into intensive care
My husband is due to have bypass operation in December and will be in icu for a few days afterwards. He is anxious about whether he can take some books and a radio with earplugs in. He is a very poor sleeper and also gets very claustrophobic and these help him to cope. Does anyone know what is allowed

I am a Diabetes Pt diagnosed one year back and on medications since then. I came to know about the concept of LCHF diet and I have started it from today. Wat I want to know is should I stop my night dose of Diabetes medication since the sugars may go very low at night and I am eating only salad and milk

Upcoming surgery
Hello All I've got my surgery coming up in a few weeks time. While I'm looking forward to it being over, I am feeling a bit scared I have to say. Is it that bad? I've had five caesareans in the past, and never worried about these, but just feeling really apprehensive. Also, I've been told by the palliative

Diabetes - possible causes and some suggestions for new diabetics fo reversal.
I have been given to understand by my doctors that diabetes can only be managed, not cured. But people who follow the LCHF diet and those who follow the starch diet have reversed the condition. Reversed means that whatever was there, is still ahead if we follow the same path. The sad thing is that MBBS
