IMRT denied final time today + Abraxane, Carboplatin, Keytruda question
I figured I would do a brand new update post in one spot. To update on my dad’s insurance denial, the external review for IMRT on his chest tumor that is wrapped around the SVC of his heart was denied today as well. This was the final appeal we had and now have no more. To say I feel defeated is an understatement

Update from my previous post - the patient appeal I did for my dad with the 4 page letter and 28 pages of his medical records plus the letter of medical necessity has gone before the Florida Blue Cross medical board where IMRT has been denied for a second and final time today. First appeal denied. Peer

Well yesterday I finally - after a year or so - had some good news!! I went through a grueling 6 months on Caylex / Carbo ( didn’t work for me at all and more tumours

Trouble adjusting.
After having a renal transplant 23 years ago my precious kidney has stopped working. I now find my self back on dialysis. I thought medical science would have made progress in 23 years. It still breaks down to you and that ungodly machine. Don't get me wrong I am happy to have this lifesaving option

Insurance denied IMRT!
Has anyone ever been denied IMRT by insurance?! It has now been several weeks since we found out my dad’s tumor pressing on his heart is no longer stable and is slowly enlarging. So far from 4.2 to 4.9 cm but that was several weeks ago and could be changed by now. He has a 5 inch blood clot because

9 Healthy Nuts That Are Low in Carbs
Nuts are known for being high in healthy fats and plant-based protein while being low in carbs. Therefore, most nuts can fit into a low-carb eating plan, though certain kinds are particularly low in carbs. For those following stricter low-carb diets like the ketogenic diet, sticking to lower-carb nuts

Hyperthroidism Symptoms and how long does it take to go away?
But a friend of mine convinced me to go see another doctor, sadly in my country we don't have any endocrinologist, therefore I went to an internist,

doctor that was highly recommended.

LCHF followers - Be aware of high Sodium in Processed Cheese and Butter as high sodium could lead to increase in Blood pressure
I am new to LCHF. I feel great after practising LCHF. As a part of my LCHF diet, I took Amul cheese slices which had fat content of 26% and protein of 20%, no carbohydrate. I took just 2 slices ( each slice weighing 20 gm) in the morning and 2 slices in the evening. After 3 weeks, I find my BP which

Advice on medical care
My wife qualified for CHC last December. Just recently there has been a shake up with the district nurses, different teams, new team leaders etc. For the first four months she was visited by the district nurses on a weekly basis, they then reduced the visits to once every two weeks although it was agreed

My Story
I was in
intensive
care
for 9 days and in hospital for 5 weeks. I have been told I have hypoxic brain injury. I have good days and bad days and I am waiting for my neurological rehab to start next week. It would be nice to hear from and chat to other people.

Medicinal cannabis
I’ve been told by my GP that he can no longer prescribe Fentanyl lozenges for my breakthrough pain. I’ve always known they are palliative care drugs. They worked for me. Now I’m stressed about how I’ll cope when my last two are gone. Has anyone else had medicinal cannabis prescribed? If so did it work
