Anyone on Lymparza with positive results?
Have bone mets but been on Nubequa since 01/22 and have more mets now at Sacrum and tail bone. Orch last year with good PSA since. Either 3D or IMRT to start soon x 10 days for 3D, (not sure time for IMRT). RO says mets there on scans of 2/22 but small, now larger. We didn't know. MO wants to

What Do You Make of This?
https://www.redjournal.org/article/S0360-3016(22)03349-1/fulltext I had a Gleason 4 tumor (2 cm x 1 cm) with a PSA in the 20's. Is this saying that targeted treatment with no or limited ADT would have been sufficient, especially if HDR brachytherapy were used with IMRT?

Been for my appointment at the LGI today
Hi everyone well I’ve been to the Lgi today to see my cardiologist. It was a bit of an emotional appointment as I have made the decision not to go through transparent. There are more cons than pros for me. It will be palliative care now. All my checks today looked good and he was pleased with my weight

Biomarkers as Predictive Tools for Selection of Treatment
A good reference for the state of art in biomarkers...some good work is being done that may help the community of men in this group. Be forewarned; PSA of 4.0 is useless...the Dr in this presentation says; "Its one of the worst decision in Oncology." DO NOT wait for PSA to get this high...do not depend

Got PSMA SCAN Results-Now What?
In 2020 my PSA started to rocket up from a 4 at the beginning of the year to a 15.9 at year end. A biopsy was performed. Pain management alternatives
“Things I learned along the way” … in the event this may help others, I thought I’d share … If you or your loved one is struggling a great deal with pain, you may want to consider 1) having a pain pump placed 2) acupuncture. As my Jeff’s pain became harder to manage with his drug regimen, we were referred

Thankyou for all your good wishes. Well my first visit to Harefield was quite overwhelming. I only learnt as we were traveling down on Tuesday that I wld be having 'some' tests. Some! A lung function test, ecg, chest xray, blood pressure and sats, urine test and I couldn't count the number of vials

Blood in the urine
Two months ago I noticed blood in my Urine. It only happened once but then in September, it happened again so my Urologist performed a cystoscopy in his office and saw some irritation in the bladder that may have been a result of the IMRT I had last year. . He ordered a CT scan of my groin area that

Change in orgasm feeling after PCa treatment?
Gents, Curious: are you able to orgasm after PCa treatment? If so, is the feeling different than pre-treatment? How is it different? I had IMRT, ADT, and brachyboost. Definitely different for me pre/post- treatment. Sensation is not as intense now. Location of pleasure seems to be more concentrated

Traveling on a plane with liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension
In February this year he was taken into

with a GI bleed and needed blood transfusions and was told he had portal hypertension. He had a follow up endoscopy 4 weeks later and the report said that he still had portal hypertension but no other complications on there.

Gleason 9 with mets and PCA = 3.7 at time of diagnosis
1st post, I've been reading and learning. Full story is in my bio. Today marks 3 months since I've started ADT, I just had my second Eligard injection and have completed my second month on Zytiga & Prednisone. I also completed day 15 off 44 - IMRT. My PSA was 3.7 at the time of diagnosis, I found

PET PSMA scan and low PSA and Lurpon
Will a PET PSMA scan still essentially function as well to find out where PC lesions exist if one's PSA is low say <1, because of Lupron? Lets say the PSA without Lupron might be a 10, (also no prostatectomy was ever performed.) My radiologist wants me to get the scan so I can then get set up for

Medical Marijuania
I saw my Palliative Care doctor yesterday and she was very concerned about my 8 lb weight loss in one month. She has put me on medical marijuania to help boost my appetite. I can't stand looking at food let alone eating it. It is also to help my extreme pain from cancer in my spine. This is in addition
