Glaucoma suspect
I saw the consultant several days ago and am still a glaucoma suspect rather than having glaucoma as yet, though I will be monitored much more frequently and closely from now on by the eye clinic as the risk is going up. I have come to realise that my biggest fear is not of getting glaucoma and going

Mild Sjogrens? Is that a thing?
I've googled it and I still have no idea. Lots of cross over symptoms with thyroid but I've started pondering on my dry eyes and mouth. Neither are dry to the point of pain but my husband has noticed I've developed an eye 'tic'. I'm sort of rolling my eyes and opening my eyes wide; I've realised

drooling and excess saliva
We are trying to tackle a new issue that has come up for my hwp. Drooling. He just stands over the sink and the drool just chains out of his mouth pretty much all day long. His Neuro said her patients have tried everything to no avail. She is recommending botox injections into the salivary glands

putting down the burden
I have been practising albeit a bit as hoc putting things weighing me down into an imaginary bag and putting the heavy burden of that bag down. Knowing it’s still mine and I can retreive it should I want to at any time. I know this sounds simplistic but I simply couldn’t live with carrying it all around

How long before methotexrate 'kicks-in'?
I have been taking MTX for past 17 weeks ( last 2 weeks by injection) for treatment of uveitis. But I see no change in the inflammation and the recent FFA reveals that the inflammation is active . Do I need to wait more or will the rhumetalogist add another DMARD ( or even biologicals ) to speed up the

Effect of thyroid dysfunction on N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide levels: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Papers regarding the impact of inappropriate thyroid hormone levels keep coming out. It would be a miracle if endocrinologists showed any evidence of having read them. And incorporated the lessons into their practices. [i]

travaprost (Travatan) side effect
I have started Travatan drops nightly for ocular hypertension, high pressure in eyes. Had 4 doses so far. They are causing painful sensitivity to light overnight and in the morning. It has slowly decreased over an hour or two but until then it is painful and distressing. Will this improve over time

can someone have a look at my latest results please?
Hi all, I’ve just had my latest results through from Monitor my Health and I was wondering If anyone could shine a light on them for me please? I’m still waiting for my vitamin results from my GP. But I’ll post them as soon as they arrive. I have Hashimotos and am gluten free, vegetarian ( not vegan

Vasculitis of the eye
I have vasculitis of the eye and have steroid implants in the eye. Now the ozurdex implant is wearing away and the oedema is back in the eye. The immunosuppressant ( metothexrate) which is I was using for 16 weeks has not managed to stop the oedema. Till ozurdex was present, oedema was at bay. Now that

ANTIBIOTICS AND EYLEA INJECTION ARE THEY COMPATIBLE?
I may have to have a course of antibiotics from my dentist at the same time or close to an Eylea injection. Is this OK or can they affect each other? Should there be a time space between? Many thanks in advance

Heated Dry Eye Mask
I'm wondering if its safe to use a heated eye mask for dry eye after trabulectomy surgery? I had the op 5 months ago. I had been using a microwave mask before the trab but its heavy on the eye so thought a USB type heated lightweight mask might be better. I'm suffering with very irritated eyes especially

RLS under anesthesia
Has anyone had RLS while under anesthesia ? I didn't know it would be possible but my Dr told my husband I was probably a secret opioid addict because my legs were twitching a lot during the procedure...... 1. I don't take opioids. Even when I tried them for RLS years ago it didn't really work and

Pregnenolone
hi everyone I just wondered if there was anyone taking Pregnenolone and to hear your experiences with it? Dr M an ex GP who now ‘prescribes’ it as part of her protocol, recommended I take it due to 4-point saliva test showing a low cortisol and low DHEA ( just one within minimum) and to be honest,

It's too much. All the medical procedures. Homesick. Getting into hospital on Monday
For my nose not mental health. But it's one hell of a time booking it all, going through all kinds of proffesionals. In Bulgaria something hurts you, you go to doc 1 , they send you to doc 2, they send you to doc 3, they send you to tests. You end up either okay or hospitalised or worse from all those
