questions
In the summer, I noticed sporadic noises in one ear. It only happened at night, when lying down to sleep. It was almost like a deep and faint squeak. It lasted 2 days and went away. Months later, after developing a sinus cold, it returned. I did not react immediately as I thought it would pass. After

I have been prescribed Simbrinza eye drops as a new method of treatment to bring my eye pressures down. My eye pressures are 23 and 20. Monopost Eye Drops
Hi, does anyone know of an alternative eye drop to monopost. I have been prescribed this to take in each eye once a day at night but after 2 weeks am finding it unbearable even though I am using eye lubrication drops to try and help with the itchy soreness.

Simbrinza shortage?
Over the years my opthamologist and I have settled on Simbrinza eye drops as the best for my glaucoma. Yesterday my pharmacist tells me he can't find the drops anywhere and he's going to keep looking. We're in SE London area. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hair thinning
This is probably a silly question, however I have had multiple different eye drops over the past 7 years for my Glaucoma, and are currently using Travatan and Combigan. Had anybody noticed any changes in hair thinning or hair loss. I seem to have thinning of my hair and are concerned, if this continues

Iopidine
Hello everyone, is anyone having problem with getting GP to prescibe Iopidine eye drops? My GP is refusing to prescribe it, saying its coming up as a red flag. Does anyone know what it means? This was prescribed by a consultant at hospital on 22nd March, when I was put on a waiting list for presserflo

Monopost eye drops
Is anyone in the UK having trouble getting Monopost single use eye drops? Pharmacist just says to ask for a different drop…not as easy as that when you’ve tried most available and they don’t lower pressure! So frustrating…don’t know what to do now.

Hydroxychloroquine toxic retinopathy
Hi. I have had Lupus for 22 years and been on Hydroxychloroquine 400mg daily since then plus 2mg Prednisolone. Recent eye tests have shown that the Hydroxy is affecting the retina. I was warned at the outset, that it can affect eyes, but it still a bit of a shock. Opthamology Consultant says I must

Short episode for tonight. Mum's life has not always followed a smooth course and she has never been one to complain. It was only after several months of poor vision that she finally went to the optician only to discover too late that she had a badly detached retina. She was quickly admitted to hospital

How long to wait for trabeculectomy?
I'm wondering how long people have waited for a trabeculectomy operation, once they have been told they need one, either through NHS or going private? I'm asking because when I saw my consultant ( privately) in Feb he said that the visual fields test showed there was some deterioration ( normal tension

Unsure how to proceed after flare continues
I wrote awhile back about having a return of PMR symptoms after successfully (over a year and a half) tapering to 5mg and staying on that dose for two months. The weather had gotten a lot colder here in Seattle and I attributed the flare partly to that. I increased my dose to 10mg for a week and had

I have been insulin dependant diabetic for 40 years, which has been the cause of my eye conditions. I was one of the first patients my consultant gave eye injection, I've had three steroid implants, lots of Lazer and eye injections. Last year I had a sever bleed at the back of the eye resulting in
