Update for dry eyes 👀
As I wrote couple of months ago I was suffering sever dry eye. By the good advice of my dear friends here, I went to ophthalmologist and she told dryness is sever and the schirmer(? )test for measuring the volume of tears was extremely low. Also she said I have minor ulcerations on cornea. So she prescribed

Nightmares
In EMDR therapy this week we were working on my recurrent PTSD nightmares. Both nights since I've been startled awake in the middle of the night by apparitions at my bedside. Is this sort of thing normal in dreamwork?

UV light
Hello, I have lupus and I’ve been on methotrexate for 18months pus hydroxy and folic acid. My eyes have recently become more susceptible to outside uv light (even on dull days). I wear uv sunglasses etc plus dry eyes eye drops but to no avail. Any experience of this and any advice? Thank you!

GCA Eye Stroke
I had an eye stroke, AION [anterior ischemic optic neuropathy], caused by GCA nov 2017. It caused loss of upper half of vision in left eye. My sister had CRAO [central retinal arteric occlusion] in one eye in 2010 losing most of vision in that eye. She recently had BRVO [branch retinal vein occlusion

Hydroxychloroquine and macular degeneration
I have only been taking Hydroxychloroquine for just over a year and have had no problems. I told the rheumatologist that I had early stages macular degeneration but they said it was not a problem. Recently i have had eye problems, my last eye test was January, so I went back to the optician who sent

Now on Humira and MTX and a week of Steriods
Not liking having to get back on steroids but my Iritis flared back up on MTX and my joints are hurting like nobody's business. Also had a slew of bloodwork done as the amoxicillin I took may have clashed with my Dose... *sigh* My doctor registred me with a nursing chapter to come and show me how to

Eye checks and hydroxychloroquine(Plaquenil)
I have been taking hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) for 8 years. My understanding is that this drug can cause retinopathy. However I have not been offered eye checks for this with an eye doctor. Does anyone know if there is an NHS policy on regular checks for retinopathy for people taking hydroxychloroquine

Writing, typing any suggestions?
I dictate emails but spend a lot of time adding punctuation and rewriting, I cannot see the huge keyboard I have clearly, and never learned typing. I can cope with this, just, it is tiring but would love to dictate onto FB, any technology out there? It would be great to not have to look at the keyboard

My IRITIS is back while on MTX. How?
And I have pain in my fingers, knees, and ankles...I seem to be evolving backward healthwise even on injections--do I need to get back on the steroids...?

How long to absorb 1.0 ml IM injection?
Subcut injections give me little benefit, so I inject 1.0 ml I.M. into my thigh. How long does it take for that fluid to be absorbed by the leg muscle? I ask the question because if I start walking aound too soon after the injection, the liquid will get squeezed by the leg muscle. Even if liquid doesn't

Graves and eye pain
Hi can anyone tell me if eye disease can start with achy eye and shooting pains in the eye? Over the last few weeks the pain has become more frequent . I had an appointment at the eye hospital, for a different problem, I mentioned the eye pain but I didn't get any answers. In all fairness the clinic

Propafanone
Trying to come off the Flecainide and try Propafanone. Surgery say either Nebivolol or Propafanone not both. Is that right?

Parkrun #5
Well, after a week on the Injury Couch, it felt amazing to get my kit on and make it to Parkrun this morning. I really wanted to beat my pb of 41.09 and I *think* I have done it. Waiting impatiently for my official PR time... Did my usual trick of forgetting to switch mapmyrun off as soon as I had finished
