Blurry Vision
I have recently begun treatment - I'm just about 2 months in. I began with a Rituxan infusion once a week for 4 weeks. Concurrently, I began Calquence (acalabrutinib) and Allopurinal, which I will take indefinitely. Shortly after beginning treatment, I began experiencing blurred vision, which continues

Need your input
I am not asking for a medical opinion. I am hoping to get this soon after studying the Epstein Barr virus, MS and my symptoms. Have any of you been diagnosed with the Epstein Barr virus? Do any of you have tinnitus, iritis, vertigo and tendons? I started to have numbness in the back of my neck,

EMDR.. anyone?
I am due to start EMDR next week. I have put it off for quite some time for one reason or another but I finally feel brave enough to start this. Anyone else on this journey? Or any success stories? My therapist thinks I have lots of little traumas mostly including health and death and believes this will

I have been using hypromellose eye drops for a while because, particularly from Spring to autumn, I have itchy, gritty, dry eyes. This year they're worse than ever making my vision very blurred and no amount of hypromellose will fix it. Last week I went to get my eyes tested, thinking the blurred vision

Preventable Corneal Abrasion
Recently I went to a recycling centre on a windy day. I usually wear eye protection glasses but had forgotten to put them in the car. Within 5 minutes some dust had blown into my 'good eye' and it was very painful. Everyone was busy shaking out bags briskly all around me. Luckily I was not driving

My new Rux journey
See end for reason for the image. -- I've been on Rux for just over a month. As posted I switched from Bes after the IFN and Flu Vax blew up on me. I'm at 20 BID (10x2/day). So far nothing bad that's clearly Rux guilty has happened . I held CHR for three months off IFN. But it's starting to

Hi everyone. I’m a survivor of a traumatic childhood. And over the years, have been in private and group therapy(typical). With a little success . I’m reading the book the body keeps the score. In it, the author talks about emdr and neurofeedback and some other things I have not tried. But I don’

Hypothyroidism and Somatization: Results from E-Mode Patient Self-Assessment of Thyroid Therapy
This newly published paper will go down like the proverbial lead balloon with members here. I had thought (hoped) that Weetman had retired but he is still around. You can bet that the last line of the conclusion: “[i]SSD may be an important determinant of dissatisfaction with treatment and care among

Twitchy eye and eye ache
Hello again, I have noticed over the last few days my right eye is twitchy almost twitching to a pulse like rhythm, in addition in the same eye I have a bit of a dull ache which comes and goes and sometimes lingers a bit longer, is this normal? I am currently on lots of eye drops and Acetazolamide

Desperate
Hi,I have suffered from anxiety all my life, I've always been nervous and have little confidence. In 2020, I was diagnosed with CPTSD, and initially had a few sessions of EMDR, and also hypnotise, neither of which worked. I subsequent developed chronic panic attacks, which were more like seizures/ fits

Tapering
I am in the US, started at 60 mg prednisone last summer 2022, 20 weeks of Actemra for PMR/GCA, and many back up and down tapering ...and after 8 days of headache at 16 mg, headache went away and I started 15 mg today. Is this what I am to expect going forward? I have so many side effects from prednisone

Some help please…regarding waiting times
I have just spoken to the hospital about my referral and they are saying it could take 3 to 4 months. I cannot wait that long as my brain can’t cope and with all the medication I’m taking I cannot stay on it for that long. I had a laser iridotomy in November through the NHS for narrow angles this partially

Problem with antihistamines
I have glaucoma and the treatment causes me to have dry eyes that have resulted in damaged corneas. I am prescribed Carmellose 1% eye drops. I was also prescribed Fexofenadine tablets for my allergies but decided to stop taking them as watery eyes helped to reduce the dryness. However, given the pollen

Dexamethasone & Chloramphenicol. Do they cause blurred vision?
Went down to eye casualty as still had sensitivity and irritation from my cataract op though my vision was clear. No infection but the eye is very dry still. Seems the dry eye drops aren't doing a lot. I need to use my heat mask at least once a day. They've stopped the Betamethasone I was given after

What To Do Next?
Hi Friends, First post here, although I've come back to this forum a few times. I'm at a spot where, even though I know it's untrue, I feel like I'm experiencing anxiety like no one has ever experienced it before (we all know the lonely feeling). I've been dealing with this for about a year an a half

Referral to another hospital
Hello again, Ok I’m just looking for some advice please. Quick overview. I apparently have narrow angles in both of my eyes, I had a laser iridotomy back in November, but as my eyes are apparently healthy it partially healed so this needed enlarging which was done in early March. My pressure has

Post cataract op light sensitivity
Anyone experienced this? If so, for how long? I've had an injection for all my previous ops - including my first cataract op years ago. This time, just drops and I was more aware of pressure on my eye and searing lights during the surgery. The blur and grittiness cleared by the next day but, a week

Photosensitivity: “Blue/white LED lighting harms humans & wildlife…” Eclipse article p38, Spring 2023 Lupus UK magazine.
Hi there, As a lupus sufferer with light sensitivity I found this article most interesting. Sadly the old warmer, tungsten filament lamps seem to be a thing in the past. Most lamps are now LED with “cool white” as the default. However LED lights are available in “ warm white” less bright with more
