new diagnosis - probable mucinous ovarian cancer
I've now been referred for a CT chest, abdomen and pelvis with a
hysterectomy
, oophrectomy, appendix and ommentum removal booked. I've reading (I know - bad idea) and am feeling a bit lost and not quite sure what to do next.

new diagnosis: ovarian serous borderline tumour
Going to have full
hysterectomy
including cervix, and the peritoneum at front of bowel to prevent it “seeding”…. she thinks that the surgery will be enough and it’s hopeful I won’t need chemo etc..

However recommended total
hysterectomy
including omentectomy and surgical washout. Not sure if this is debulking surgery or not? How long should I expect to be in hospital for? I’m 54 now and live alone so trying to arrange family to come and stay post surgery.

Do GPs have ears?
We disagreed that I needed a
hysterectomy
, but the hospital phoned this morning to "book me in". I declined. I was told I could not get T3 results without an Endo appointment, so I agreed. Months later, this came through. Turns out he is a specialist in diabetes.

what benefits would I get giving up work?
I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage 3 in may 2021 I underwent a
hysterectomy
followed my chemo and in nov 2021 was told I was in remission. I am on PARPS treatment now and when I asked of the chances of the Cancer reoccurring I was told 75%.

Hi All I had my 3mths post op following total
hysterectomy
, I forgot to ask the question regarding the Vault. I was told 2 days post op I would be called by the hospital to have a one off vault and then that would be that. however I wanted to ask them about it so I thought would ask on here.

Extremely low markers but still scared
From that moment her ca125 has always been decreasing, from 20 after the
hysterectomy
to now that it has reached a value calculated as less than 1. However, this is not enough to reassure me about a recurrence, because I read everywhere that the markers do not count for anything.

Dienogest
I thought I was going to be put forward for a
hysterectomy
but they suggested 3 months on Dienogest and to have an MRI of pelvis which won't be for 3 months or so, and then go from there... Is anyone else taking Dienogest? Does it help with pain? Thanks 🙂 x

Don't want to go back on the pill/more surgeries! Deep infiltrating endo on bowel and uterine polyp removed recently for heavy bleeding.
Not just a bandaid solution of more bcp, and surgeries(
hysterectomy
and bowel resection).
