I'm 31 years old I've had 3 surgeries in the last 8 years most recent surgery 2021. I know a hysterectomy is not a cure but I wanted to see if anyone had had one early and felt it was actual worth it. I don't have any children nor do I want to try to have a child. I've tried every hormone treatment possible and I'm currently on another round of prostrap 10 months in. After surgery I did feel better but the bleeding has never stopped. Ive tried various medications and prostrap and it still will not stop. It seems to be around every 10 days but not always. The lead up to a bleed is painful during the bleed is painful so I still feel like I'm in pain all the time. It's not a small amount of blood I'm bleeding through clothes regularly and I'm at my wits end with it, ive had a ultrasound and it came back fine they say there is no cause for the bleeding. I'm not sure what other options I have ? Has anyone been allowed a hysterectomy and felt it was beneficial?

Hi Rach
I'm sorry your going through such a rubbish time with this. I can't actually answer your question as I'm still waiting for my review. This is more of a supportive reply. I'm mid 30s and same as you with not wanting children and the pain and heaviness of a bleed was awful. I also have Fibromyalgia which I believe has developed because of all this/hormone inbalance.
I have requested a hysterectomy- I was diagnosed last year via scans and laparoscopy with endo and adenomyosis. Currently 5months on zoladex and this has been amazing. Although I do still get some of the pain symptoms it's been totally manageable so far, the bit that still bothers me the most is the bloat and bubbling.
For me, a hysterectomy is something I truly feel will help. I've done a lot of reading regarding this with both endo and adenomyosis and then read about the different types of HRT and what would be more ideal for my situation. All I can do is go in to my review with the research I've done to make my case, ask questions and their advice and hope they too agree it's the best course of action.
I hope you get seen to very soon so you can make a suitable plan for you going forwards. X
