Seven weeks post op full hysterectomy. Still struggling and uncomfy trying to build up with things but soon exhausted. Had significant scarring numerous other ops with scarring pouch of Douglas obliterated by scarring and significant endometriosis.

2) Has anyone had HRT post hysterectomy/ oophorectomy/ removal of endometriosis. I have it in my bladder/ urethra along with vaginal/rectal spectum and uterosacral ligament. I don't know if they'll be a urologist in theatre yet.

She wants to discuss either partial or full hysterectomy. Is the way forward and are there any questions I should be asking her? I suffer with a lot of back pain (I have a tilted womb), pain on my right side from my cyst. I just know whether a hysterectomy will cure my symptoms.

hi there I signed the theatre form for a hysterectomy but after researching so much I think I just want the endo removed and I don’t want a hysterectomy.. how do I go about this do I just tell my consultant ?

I've made the decision to have a hysterectomy along with recommend pelvic floor repair. I was wondering if anyone out there had been on zoladex before their hysterectomy and if the menopause symptoms where similar after or worse?

I am now waiting for an operation for the removal of the other ovary and a hysterectomy. My doctor advised that because of the nature of the cancer he wouldn’t recommend me going on any HRT . Is anyone who had ovaries removed and a hysterectomy been in a similar situation .

Just wondered if anyone has had endo removed from their lungs during the hysterectomy surgery? I've been told I need a full hysterectomy including ovaries and they're assuming my bi-lateral pleural thickening is also endo.

How will she decide whether to prescribe more or just go ahead with a hysterectomy (which is my preference)? Also, because I'm private am I able to just tell her I want to go ahead with the hysterectomy rather than dragging things out with the prostap? Any advice gratefully received x

hi all I’ve just had an appointment with my consultant and looking for some advice..I’m 42 with severe endo and he’s advised a total hysterectomy with hrt.. but he’s advised me the wait will be another yr 😞 AGAIN!

I need to make a decision whether I’m better getting everything removed, a hysterectomy, or if that won’t help. Please can anyone who has had a hysterectomy advise if it has helped with symptoms or not? my life is being ruined by endometriosis so I just need some relief :(

Hi I’ve had a total hysterectomy about 5 years ago. Still have ongoing pains but have told because I’ve had the hysterectomy it’s no longer a gynae issue. I line in Northern Ireland and we have no endo specialist here. I’ve had bi lateral sciatic like pain and ongoing pelvic pain for about a year.

A hysterectomy was also mentioned and it was said because of my age he would recommend trying the hormone treatment first, but he would also happily put me forward for a hysterectomy but to keep my ovaries. I am 33 years old I do have 1 child and I know I am unable to have more.
