Prolapse after surgery
I had a bladder prolapse stage three along with a few other parts that had prolapsed. I had all the usual symptoms, bladder hanging between my legs via my vagina, back pain, difficulty sitting and walking and severe constipation. My doctor recommended a hysterectomy since a pessary did not work for

intraocular bleed on Apixaban
I had a posterior vitreous detachment in my eye a few weeks ago. This is very common when you get older and is not usually dangerous. I already had this once, but this was before my Afib diagnosis and Apixaban. This time I was told by the ophthalmologist that I had had three minor bleeds and in fact

Cataracts & GCA
I was diagnosed with GCA in January this year & currently on 20 mg Pred - trying to taper down. I wear glasses & was told by my Optician in Oct last year that I had the beginnings of cataracts ('age related') - I'm 64. I then had them tested again in April this year as the blurriness I had experienced

Actemra problems.
My husband has been on Actemra for about two months and hasn't had any of the side affects that have been mentioned so far. However, he is ta king it because he has GCA and it was suggested it would help him get off some of the prednisone he is taking 25g when we started. He's down to 19g now but he

Hi I am having cataract surgery on Sunday and you are given choice of a sedative or not. The nurse said "they usually " use Midazelam -obviously anything offered if i am unsure I will go without it. Does anyone know if Midazelam is RLS safe ? Don't want legs jumping around and the surgical instruments

Finishing with Actemra
Hi everybody, once again I'm asking a question of you all before I see my Rheumo. In a few weeks I will have been on Actemra injections for 18 months. I managed to finish taking Pred 7 months ago after a 12 month stint with no relapses. I consider myself to be very lucky so far. I would like to

Info onActemra
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with GCA Dec 21 and put on 65mg Pred. Then March 22 I started Actemra weekly injections. I have been very fortunate so far as I tapered and stopped Pred in Dec 22 but still taking Actemra shots - fortnightly now. My question is how long have others had to take Actemra

I had cataract surgery 18 days ago but sight in the operated eye is still cloudy. Will this clear eventually?. What has been the experience of members of this group. Anything I can do to help this clear?

cataracts, glaucoma and astigmatism
I was diagnosed with glaucoma last year and had laser surgery which didn’t work. I now have cataracts which are causing me blurred vision. On my last visit to the glaucoma hospital the ophthalmologist said “you have cataracts” but he didn’t say anything else about it or whether I needed to get them done

ET, Hydroxycarbamide and cataract surgery
I have to have cataract surgery, not so much because my cataracts are so bad but because I have primary angle closure glaucoma, so I don’t really have an option! I am concerned that it might take longer for my eyes (left one to be done first and right a few weeks after) to heal as I have ET. I have

Cataract surgery
Hallo all What are your experiences of cataract surgery with AMD? I saw my consultant in the glaucoma clinic yesterday (I am a suspect narrow angles). I also have one wet, one dry eye. I have injections in my wet eye, currently been 10 weeks since the last one. My consultant said he would do my cataracts

Wondering if anyone has had dental extraction while on Actemra. I was told by my dentist that it affects the jaw and I would need to see a specialist since an extraction would be problematic? I am in the UK and have weekly Actemra injections. Thx

Nosebleeds and Apixaban
Some years ago I had occasional nose bleeds, usually in the winter and made worse by going into dry atmosphere and from one nostril only. Starting Saturday 6th May I had 5 quite heavy ones, including clots. I managed to see an actual doctor yesterday who diagnosed an infection so prescribed Naseptin cream

Clonidine for hypertension
Hello, Does anyone have experience with taking clonidine for hypertension? My FWP has been experiencing fluctuating blood pressure (anything from 102/66 or lower to 180/90 or even 200/80 on occasions) and his cardiologist has been adjusting his meds but they don’t seem to be that effective. We
