Berberine and Levothyroxine
Hi This is my first post. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice about taking berberine with levothyroxine. I am currently taking 100mcg of levo daily. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes which I try and control with a low carb diet. However my blood sugar seems to be rising

Private specialist recommendation?
I’m not sure if this is allowed? I’m looking for a private Lupus specialist in the Gloucestershire / Wales area. Is there anyone that can be recommended? Despite positive ANA & ANCA my gp says she won’t refer me because other tests were ok and I saw one a few years ago that diagnosed fibromyalgia. Most

Recovery from colds/flu whilst on Adalimumab
Hello,I was diagnosed with Crohn's 18 months ago and have been on Adalimumab for the last 12 months. In that time I have managed to avoid colds/flu until a couple of weeks ago. Have felt quite unwell and presently doesn't seem to be ending. My question is really to other people who have a reduced immune

Reason for constipation
Is there much research or understanding about why children and toddlers are getting constipated so much? It seems so many are being treated for constipation but I haven't seen any discussions on why this constipation is happening to try and avoid it. I understand low fibre and reduced fluid intake can

CA 27.29 Blood Testl
My CA 27.29 has continued to rise. PET Scan showed nothing abnormal. I've been referred to Stanford Hospital and they will explore with more imagery. I am frightened but want to get to the truth.

CT scan instead of gastroscopy / colonoscopy with all PA tests normal
My Active B12 was just about into the sufficient range. My H Pylorii was negative, as was anti IFAB and coeliac. Homocysteine was fine too. My neurologist’s physical exam was normal ( though the sharp stimulus was a little less sharp on the feet. ) I have been taking sublingual B12 and the tingling

is this hemorrhoids or should I be right to be worried
I’m a 31 year old female. I went to the bathroom yesterday and after a.. sizeable bowel movement noticed some blood in the toilet. This has happened before so I wasn’t too concerned, but I just went to the restroom again today and after I flushed the first time I thought I noticed blood. This was a normal

Yellowy /Orange Poo
Hi I am normally a constipated individual, but over the last week I have suffered twice with severe diarrhoea with extremely painful spasms. Following the first bout I didn’t go to the toilet for a week, even after taking two separate doses of Laxido. Well last night it all kicked off again - pain

"Run, definitely run"
Any Avatar fans out there might remember Sigourney Weaver saying this.More recently, the cancer nurse at my cli7nic appointment before my surgery used exactly the same words in the same tone of voice when I asked if I should continue to run or rest between then and the operation. She and the surgeon

Buprenorphine and Nausea
Basically I successfully use buprenorphine (0.4mg/da) to block RLS but the resultant nausea is a serious well known side affect. I have been well guided by many on this site as to how to combat the nausea and have tried many of the suggested solutions except for me the last resort medical cannabis.

Hi all, I just thought I would give a quick update. I attended the Royal Free Hospital last Thursday ,I was seen in the Scleroderma clinic by a member of the team. She asked questions and examined me, she then went and got a senior colleague,(not Prof Denton) unfortunately can’t remember their names

STEM CELL TRANSPLANT FINALLY SCHEDULED (WE HOPE)
Hi everyone. As you may know, my husband was diagnosed with CLL back in 2013, treated with six cycles of FCR, and achieved a "full response with incomplete recovery of the bone marrow." He had severe complications after treatment, but the CLL never recurred. In November 2023 he began to experience

really uncomfortable
Hi, I’ve recently been suffering from some acid reflux symptoms (especially with trigger foods). I’ve noticed the acidic taste, burning sensation, nausea and oesophageal discomfort. Anyway, I pop the odd gaviscon when it’s really uncomfortable or painful or take an omeprazole. Recently I’ve been experiencing
