I’m recovering from quite a bad flu I’m having to take antibiotics 4 times a day, now this is my question. I’m having very severe headache they are worse after my dose of levothyroxine which I’m leaving the 4 hour gap with. Could it just be the antibiotic hasn’t knocked the headache part of the illness or could my levels be being affected by either the antibiotic or the illness?

Flu, antibiotics and Levo
Are you taking the same brand of Levo Bobby25? Have you had an adverse reaction to antibiotics in the past?
I had terrible headaches with a recent bout of Covid. It’s difficult trying to work out what the culprit is. Severe headaches are truly awful, I feel for you!
I haven’t really ever taken any before. With the flu I was having severe headaches due to congestion I think, kind of a pulsing headache. Levi yeah same brand had a dose change a few weeks ago about maybe 6 weeks
What Levo were you taking previously/ changed to?
50 of accord then 50 of mercury pharma got on really well with that then upped to 75 of mercury pharma on the 14 nov been fine up to this flu
Could you tell me what dates are on your mercury pharmacy.
Both from different pharmacies
Could you tell me what dates are on yours
Both different packs and only an expiry date on them
I have had 2 bad bouts of flu, one prior to being hypothyroid and one since diagnosis when taking Levothyroxine. Also had 3 bouts of Covid, 2 prior and 1 since being treated. The headaches, for me, are the part of these illnesses I dread and are always worse early morning. Taking Levothyroxine has not made headaches better or worse for me. Also antibiotics will only treat a secondary bacterial infection not the flu/Covid virus itself which actually cause the headache symptoms. Painkillers don’t touch these headaches for me though breathing in hot steam with some essential oils added does ease sinus pressure. Really feel for you Bobby25 and do hope you soon feel much better!
You are very welcome - take care!
Antibiotics don't work on flu, it's a virus, you're just wasting your money.
