Flu Shot and Liver Disease
Has anyone else had a bad reaction to the flu shot? I was two weeks into a new eating plan, feeling great, free of liver pain, regaining my energy and losing weight. I got the flu shot a week ago and within a day I was severely ill with itching, a rash, constant nausea and my severe liver pain (which

Hi everyone Hope the state of the world today is not getting you down to much...at least the weather is nice today...😜 I have been in lockdown since March...only going out for my flu jab and a blood test this morning. I have not had a blood test since August 2019 so thought it was about time for me

Untreated sleep apnea is associated with flu hospitalization.
As we approach flu season, adults with obstructive sleep apnea may want to take extra precautions. A study published online as an accepted paper in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine is the first to find that patients with sleep apnea who did not use CPAP therapy were more likely to be hospitalized

Vaccines
Would appreciate thoughts: On ibrutinib, thinking about asking MD for Shingrix vaccination. I see second Shingrix vaccine should be given 2 to 6 months after 1st vaccine. Wondering if it is advantageous to take 2nd dose closer to 2 months or 6 months after 1st vaccine. Also, wondering if there is

Vitamins?
Hi fountains of much acquired wisdom, My RA is fairly stable at the moment and I am only on 10mg Methotrexate Weekly. A podiatrist recently commented on my very thin toe nails and recommended Vitamin B. I looked into it and others say Vitamin C. I take a Vitamin D every day and mega fish oil pills

Had your yearly flu jab yet?
Morning all, I was just thinking, as we are supposed to be on the vulnerable bunch list have any of you had/been offered a flu jab this year? I am usually one of the first called by our docs and not heard a peep. Do you think we should have one?

Flu vaccine
Hello everyone. Not strictly lung problem but I am feeling really unwell in and off since flu jab. It is like I am sickening for a cold or flu but it doesn’t come to anything apart from wanting to lie down and sleep. Any thoughts please.

Flu jab
🙂Today I went for my annual flu jab, I’m not great with needles but since my granddaughter (aged 1) had 4 jabs on Wednesday, I put on a brave front. Imagine my surprise when I ended up having 3 jabs..Flu-Shingles-Pneumonia. Better safe than sorry 🙂

Flu jab - yes/no this year
I know it is recommended to have the flu vaccination this year particularly because of covid, but i wonder if really necessary as we are in a lockdown area, not going out and mixing and when out shopping wearing a mask. How would we catch if we are not mixing? I have never had the vaccination as only

Flu vaccine side effects
I usually feel "not too good" for a few days after my annual flu jab. I think that, if you do get some reaction to the vaccine, it is a good indication that the vaccine will give you good immunity. I had my jab (Influensa Vaccination) yesterday. As I am on Apixaban anti-coagulant, I cannot take anti-inflammataries

Flu vaccination availability for us
We all know that our endo has an effect on our immune system, that annoyingly this isn't recognised and classed the same as say Diabetes / Heart Problems / Asthma in regards to Flu vaccinations. I always have colds around this time of the year and have always know it's due to my endo - I know some may

My first goal: completed
Long-time reader, first-time poster. I have always been big and over the years I have gone up and down in weight but the last weight gain crept up on me . I was slowly buying bigger and bigger clothes to feel comfortable. I realised at the beginning of the year I was in 5xl, just under 25 stone with

Lymph nodes under ear
Today I woke up with the lymph nodes under my ear enlarged. They have been enlarged for a while but today they are a bit bigger and very tender. I got my flu shot and pneumonia shot on Monday, do you think that has anything to do with it? I am not on any treatments. Still w&w. Thank you! Mary

Just a heads up to alert folk that at least in England and Scotland household other members of shielding households are supposed to be able to get the flu vaccine from the NHS now. My husband (healthy, aged 49) had his today here in Scotland. I (vasculitis patient) got done two weeks ago, as did my 85
