I’m in the exact situation as you are. You say all the things I have going through my head .
They put me on
heparin
IV drip and Coumadin , but Coumadin takes at least 5 days to kick in . And now I’m seeing a hematologist who does not seem to raise any RED flags or concern that my Lupus anticoagulant is so high , high Normal? Because it’s only one # away from being positive.

Couple of tips.
My 1st step was a hearing test from Boots. This showed the hearing loss in my one ear. I took this result to GP. The second, I hadnt realised that caffine can cause balance problems. Try cutting out caffine for a couple of months to see if this helps. 3rdly if you have been sat down for a while, when

Over Medicated & Under Medicated....and Tinnitus
My GP surgery have been fairly good listening to me (seeing various different DR's). After feedback in late summer of 2020, and agreeing to get my TSH down towards 1 (as I still felt lousy), they prescribed me 125mcg of levo (I'm about 92kg). Then winter Covid hit and it was impossible to get a GP appointment

Followup to my post 8 months back, sudden jaundice and hemolytic anemia
Was discharged with
heparin
injections for 10 days and then oral warfarin to regularize INR. But on third day itself when he was taking the
heparin
injection he had a big skin bleed (eccymosis) at injection site.

An 'AN' future?
I had a review of my deteriorating hearing today following my earlier hearing tests and an MRI at Addenbrooke's five weeks ago. Today was actually an appointment with the audiologist for review of my hearing aids but she kindly popped round to the medics to see what the state of play is with the MRI

Severe bruise - seek medical advice?
Currently on Enoxaparin (
heparin
) to thin my blood due to triple positive APS. Unfortunately on Saturday I was in an accident and have developed a severe bruise. It has been extremely swollen and painful to walk on (as it is on my leg and covers my entire upper thigh).

I seem to have 2 loud days and 2 low days... She suggested I get the wax removed, do G. Ps still do this? Hard

Hopeful but disappointed
I thought I would share the appointment I had on Friday. I was thinking there and then that it would be sorted but no. I went in to see an audiologist of some sort and then all he did was syringe which helped as I have small ear canals and he also said about to just carry on with therapy which I have

Addenbrooke's - AN or not? That is the question.
After a sudden deterioration in my hearing I was referred to Addenbrooke's. They did a thorough hearing test after which I had an appointment with the consultant who referred me for an MRI. This was done on October 31st but I have not been told the result. However, yesterday I received an appointment

Worried I have Meniere's...
Hi all, I developed sudden 24/7 tinnitus in my left ear back in March and after various hearing tests etc was told it was just down to some high frequency hearing loss. I came to terms with it as much as I could but in the summer I began to have to odd day of feeling out of sorts - dizzy and slightly

How long between MRI and diagnoses of Acoustic Neuroma.
Hi I have had problems with dizziness and feeling off balance since I had covid in January this year, I also have tinnitus. I was diagnosed by a GP with labyrinthitis. My symptoms evolved a bit from being constantly off balance and nauseous to rushes of a sort of falling feeling that only lasted a few

Private Hearing Aids?
Hi I recently had a private hearing test and tried out two new hearing aids at The Hearing Clinic UK. I could hear the consonant sound 'th' for the first time in years and my own voice sounded much better. It normally sounds stretchy and tinny with my NHS hearing aids. I have sensorineural hearing loss

Ibrutinib - Septrin
Had a face to face with my haematologist today, first time in 2 years. One point of conversation was that patients on Ibrutinib are now recommended to a received Septrin (cotrimoxazole) or a pentamidine nubliser. Any one else in the UK received the same advice or on Septrin/Cotrimoxazole.

Hearing loss and Lupus
Hi all. I am just wondering if anyone with lupus have any issues with their hearing. My GP thought during recent continuous flares this is affecting my hearing. I went for a hearing test and was told I had 40% less hearing and I could either buy a hearing aid for £500 or get referred to GP. I went for

I’m still struggling with pain in my ears and deafness. I’ve not been able to get on top of my Mast Cell attack. My GP is useless. I’ve got an appt at the hospital for hearing test but it’s way off. I had a mast cell attack on my bladder that lasted years and ended up having DMSO treatment. My ears feel

Questions for Audiology & ENT
Hi All, I was lucky enough to have an audiology appointment last week for my hearing aid. As I have had T and hearing loss for some time I have had a few audiology appointments so I am posting some of the questions I prepared beforehand in case they are of any use to others who have their 1st appointment
