I went to Audiologist Thursday and she gave me a hearing aid after a hearing test etc.... Not sure if it helps today as my noise is loud and so is the background noise with the hearing aid.
I seem to have 2 loud days and 2 low days... She suggested I get the wax removed, do G. Ps still do this?
Hard day today, very noisy head... 😔😔

Hi, some GP's do and some don't so best to check with your local GP. Plus been quite a few posts about ear wax so may be worth looking at some of the older posts as I know there were some recommendations on private ear wax removal.
Either way clinicians should be following the NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines, please find a link for how ear wax should be dealt with nice.org.uk/guidance/NG98 and cks.nice.org.uk/topics/earw...
Personally, Maesy, I find the wax never goes away on its own nor with olive oil and I go to a specialist to get them suctioned. £80 per ear or £150 for two - and next Wednesday is my day and I can hardly wait as my tinnitus is obnoxious and I am hardly hear. I’ve used bicarbonate soda drops in the past but got bleeding ear. Some NHS practices do suction in my area and my go can refer me on but the wait is too long for me.
i dont know how long you tried to wearing hearing aids as for some us it takes while to get use to ... if sounds are coming in too excessive and or you got tinnitus ( i suffer with this ) to contend with i would go back to Audiologist they can tweak the H -aids - by all means go to GP if you been told have wax problem treated - ( i have for many years done this myself with home kit . After this i found big hearing improvement .
