Tears of despair
For the first time my Wife and I sobbed in despair this morning after one of my worst nights yet since withdrawing from Ropinirole. RLS improved remarkably after my final dose and that was October 2023, nearly 7 months ago but my symptoms have got progressively worse and I can only put that down to the

Disappointed
After Lupron, NUBEQA and Zytega … and a recent FDG Cat scan Several nodes lit up in the periodonal aorta area of his abdomen. Being totally right up against the aorta, a decision was made to remove them robotically. Surgery went well. All lymph’s were removed that lit up on the scan. docs felt PSA

Updates on AF meds
Hello. Had appointment with AF specialist yesterday at Berks Cardiology. Everything went well. He explained everything in detail of my options, and basically said it's my choice to do whatever I wanted. I told him I wanted to exercise again at the gym, he said I could do whatever I wanted to do, but

Blood in urine
Hi all. This is my first post here. I had a robotic radical prostatectomy three months ago. In the first few weeks after surgery, my urine was clear, but then I started showing blood on my pads during walks. This has continued ever since and I'm now at 12 weeks after surgery. These are pink spots, not

What next?
Had my MRI two weeks ago, today I received a letter from a consultant sending me for an AMH test. All it said was ' 31F with endometriosis and large bilateral endometriomas please test prior to surgical planning'. It didn't say anything else but I noticed it was requested from a new name. Did some research

Amlodipine and heart arrhythmias
My husband takes Amlodipine for mildly raised BP and for about 2 hours after taking it his heart performs badly. Until recently, it was merely a slightly raised rate and PAC's, but in the last week his rate is 50% higher than normal, massive amounts of PAC's and PVC's and Kardia shows 'possible AF

Hello,For those of you who have been following my husbands journey.....it finally happened. The operation was thru the night, 1am until 10.40am. There was and has been complications but as we know, complications are mostly expected at some point with these big surgeries. He took longer than expected

5 weeks post Circumcision update
Recovery is slow and swelling is still present, specifically on the underside of the glans just below the Frenulum which tbh looks ugly. Every 3-5 days dry skin just hangs and crystallizes with the secretions and urine (leftover) which I have to painfully pull apart after softening it for quite a period

Active b12 versus serum b12
My Medichecks active b12 is 63.1 (range is 37.5-188) but my serum b12 tested at my gp surgery shows top of range. Should I supplement? I also have hypothyroidism. Thank you

Serum b12 V Active b12
I’ve just received my active b12 result from Medichecks. It was 63.1 yet my recent serum b12 from my GP surgery was over the top of the range. Over the years I have always had top of range serum levels . Should I supplement with vitamin b12? Thank you

Hypocellular bone marrow. Can anyone tell me more?
I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency ("low serum B12") over 15 years ago when debilitating exhaustion was putting my job at risk. Doctors assumed diet related because I was usually vegan at home but still ate meat and fish two or three times a week. I am diary intolerant with eczema (but crave custard

Running post cancer
So a shock diagnosis of colon cancer last year, surgery and chemo and I'm now doing c25k for a second time hoping that exercise can have some beneficial effect in keeping me healthy. Anyone else in this situation?

Off Topic - Stbernhard's Daffodils
Last autumn, while we were each recovering from surgery, I planted some daffodil bulbs while thinking about Stbernhard and sending him good wishes, and to remind ourselves of spring to come. They have been glorious - they flowered prolifically for weeks and only finished last week. They will go into

Surprise at GP
had an appt this morning about gut/urgency issues and finally got round to asking what my very first TSH reading was, in August 2021, 3 months post hip replacement surgery. My understanding was that I was borderline - I didn’t even know what that was! I was retested six weeks later and a bit higher,
