Mostly dizzy, waiting for a diagnosis, and looking for answers

Over three years ago I started having benign positional vertigo; however, I started to feel dizzy throughout the day. Then, I started experiencing

Hi Fellow Thyroid peeps!
I'm quite new to this. I'll give a little history. As far as I know I had never had thyroid problems. I did however have hyperparathyroidism, the parathyroids sit behind the thyroid. There are usually 4 of them and they are very tiny. I was having lots of kidney stones and overall chronic pain.

Everything just got a whole lot better
Today I had my 4 week follow-up with the surgical team at Basildon. It went better than even an optimistic me could wish for. ECG normal, chest X-Ray shows everything is knitting together well and lungs are fully inflated, sternum stable, scars healed. I can start driving on Monday, I can stop taking

Help with GERD symptoms but negative results
Hi everyone I’m hoping someone may have experienced similar issues to me and might be able to provide some guidance. I’m asthmatic well managed. A year ago positive helicobactor pylori and since had terrible breathless episodes when or just after eating, feels like an asthma attack/allergic reaction

Hi everyone. Just wondered if anyone had advice. I’ve had chest cold, probably bronchitis for over five weeks. Two lots antibiotics, chest X-ray was ok, sputum test was ok, got proper humidifier and bedroom like a chemist but it just won’t go. Do you think as I’ve been on prednisone for five years although

5 Day non-smoker & Feel A Mess
A month ago I had a panic attack in the middle of the store. I had been getting them more frequently, but never as bad as that day. I decided to go to the ER, as I couldn’t get my heart to slow and felt like I couldn’t catch my breath. (Little bg: been a smoker for 19 years, about a pack a day. I’ve

Endo results, please help!!
I have at least a 10-15 year history of illness which I suspected back then to be Hypothyroidism and saw a private Doc who just told my GP to give thyroxine and charged £200. she lowered y dose as I had heart palps, then eventually told me to stop taking them last year. In Feb my TSH was 5.5 [0.3-5.5

Not sure if I have asthma or not?
Hi all, I've been to see various chest specialists over the years and have been on inhaled steroids over the past 10 years or so. When I was a child I was awakened in the night by profound breathlessness. This reoccurred on various occasions. I consulted my GP who measured my peak flow which I understand

He had been having trouble breathing and as he has emphysema and ascites we went along to A & E yesterday to see if his ascites needed a further

Pneumonia etc. 😢
Hi everyone. A week ago yesterday, I had to go to A and E with a hugely 🤒 high fever (my innacurate thermometer measured it at 42.7 which I looked up and should have been nearly dead if it really had been that high!) Anyway, was treated by the NHS amazingly quickly and was told I had a severe infection

Post op breathlessness
Hi all I am now two weeks post op and doing incredibly well. The surgeon is very pleased with progress and on the whole I am lucky enough to feel really well My only problem seems to be that I get very breathless when walking about. I have had a chest X-ray which did not reveal any issues. Is it normal

Recurring sinus problems & colds
Mine started not long after
hay
fever
season kicked off, now really bad as I've had 2 colds in two weeks. Any suggestions for relief? when the pain is really bad I'm on decongestant, paracetamol and ibuprofen. I don't like taking tabs frequently so know it's not over use of decongestant.
