Breathing ? Longish post)
For >1 year I've had trouble breathing. Last year, My PCP thought it might be asthma and gave me an inhaler that might have helped slightly. Chest X-ray, labs were fine. At that time my EKG and echo were abnormal and I saw a cardiologist. Everything checked out ok, to include a nuclear stress test.

Onset of chronic asthma in fifties
I have always had asthma and
hay
fever
and excema, its also in my family. These last three years it became chronic and I was retired on I'll health as a mental health social worker. I was lucky that my lovely sourced the professor of respiratory at a major London hospital who I see privately.

Upset to say the Least
Had a chest x-ray and it showed pulmonary hyperinflation. This indicates COPD. Haven't smoked in over 20 years, have no real symptoms until after this x-ray. That x-ray has bothered me mentally!

24th year and still going strong (with test results to support those words)
Passing into my 24th year Oct 19th with this strong gifted heart, this was a busy week in many ways, but especially with doctor clinic visits to get tests and test results. Heart annual stress test on Wednesday went GREAT! Meeting with the cardiologists for the annual exam showed everything doing great

PMR symptoms minimal at 3mgpd :-) But... SORE Upper Ribs and Sternum - Ouch! What to do re. Pred dosage - One for the Aunties..? ;-)
Greetings All Just a quick 'serious' query for a change (more Mirth to come later...) First, the Good News: after a long Pred tapering journey I'm now down to 3 mgpd Pred and reducing cautiously with far less PMR Pain, stiffness and DF (Deathly Fatigue) as time goes on. Phew....! But.... for a few

6 Weeks post CRTD Op.. A & E visit and Dancing !
Hi all So I have now passed the 6 week milestone and feel much relief that my wires still seem intact ( this was my biggest fear). I must say that overall I have felt heart wise so much better... my dizzy faint periods have stopped. I don't appear to get breathless anymore and I sleep well and wake up

Fingers crossed, I'm fine so far
Over 3 weeks this was diagnosed as
hay
fever
(pharmacist and GP) and sinusitis and possible Norovirus - reaction to antibiotic (GP). Still, with a crashing one-sided headache, on 1st April 2017 I called a locum.

Is B12 deficiency implicated in any respiratory problems?
I have had a persistent cough and slight shortness of breath all summer which I had attributed to
hay
fever
. I'm beginning to question my judgement!

Heart failure and feeling scared
Hi. I'm new here and feeling scared. I was treated for breast cancer 2015 now in remission. But I have been told I have heart failure due to chemotherapy. I had been feeling out of breath really fatigued and light headed and it was put down to the treatment I had. The last few months it had been getting

COPD Cough
I have suffered COPD?Emphysema for the past 27 years and never really had a bad cough apart from with a chest infection. This past 3 months however I have had a really annoying cough with a fair amount of cream phlegm, went to the GP who sent me for a chest x-ray which has come back clear so all good

First Asthma Attack Ever - Recovery Time?
I have never had asthma before, however do have
hay
fever
, some years worse than others. Back in June 2017 I slept with the windows open in 32 degree heat and there was a thunderstorm in the middle of the night, I woke up with a really tight chest and couldn't breathe properly.

Help needed
I'm searching for answers or opinions. I've been short of breath for over 2 months. I'm absolutely exhausted. I have shoulder and neck aches and pains that are becoming worse. I had a ctpa done negative, chest x ray negative, ecg normal except bradycardia. (Hypothyroid so that's my norm). Bloods show

Reluctant vegan patient
Thinking not a good idea to get started on thyroxine at all after reading some of the posts. I went to my GP to get my SOBOE (shortness of breath on exertion) investigated - told ECG normal (despite experiencing occasional ectopics) and chest x-ray clear but my bloodwork said borderline hypothyroid.

First Endo appointment was not what I expected!!!
Sorry for a mini rant and ramble. So, my appointment was at 2pm today and I finally got seen at 4.30pm!!!!! First the consultant was late (I understand sometimes this can't be avoided so I didn't have a problem with this) BUT I was told the clinic started at 2pm and I was first. Patients were not taken

Popping/squelching sensation in lungs when breathing in and out.
Hello, I really hope someone can help me with my questions, I've thought for months about writing on one of these sites, I've done nothing but scan the web and forums about my symptoms and I'm absolutely convinced that I have pulmonary fibrosis. I'm a 25 year old female with a 4 year old little boy,

5 weeks vaping and COPD
I was diagnosed with COPD 8 weeks ago after a shadow was found on my Lung following a chest x-ray for back pain. Up until that point I had no breathing problems. I'm 46 and had been smoking for 33 years. I have now been smoke free for 5 weeks and during this time have had 2 chest infections, constant
