Trouble Breathing, Severe Health Anxiety
Hi everyone, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted on here, but this whole COVID situation has spiked my anxiety to an uncontrollable level. 3 weeks ago, I developed a headache that lasted for 3 days. Along with the headache, I experienced body aches, fatigue, chills, intense stomach pains, and diarrhea

Is this the end
So Mike has had this cancer for a little over 3 years. His last PSA had doubled from 12 to 24 in one month. He has small cell so this isn’t a great indicator. They did 1 cycle of yervoy/ nivo on March 9th. The last week he’s had a terrible cough, can’t clear his chest and has started to need a walker

Advice on daughter (10) 3 month cough? Asthma or Post Viral Cough? Or both?!
Hello, any help appreciated. My daughter is 10 and has terrible cough for 3 months. It was relapsing/remitting in severity, but worse now than before. She was diagnosed with asthma at 5 and has been hospitalised once. Mostly she is controlled on clenol and montelukast. We have access to Respiratory consultant

Latent TB Start of treatment
Hi, I have recently tested positive for TB after a blood test. I had the test as I have RRMS and I was due to start second year of a drug called cladribine which is an immunosupressant. As it turns out second year has been cancelled anyway because of covid 19. I have never had any symptoms and chest

Hospital tomorrow
I have been sent an appointment to go for a CT scan tomorrow for my chest. I got the appointment in on Friday and phoned hospital today to make sure I had to go. They said yes. Now I'm not sure whether to go or not with advice given by government tonight about isolation. I've been given one also for

New emphysema diagnosis
Just had emphysema diagnosed following chest X-ray. Spirometer test next stop but likely to be a while given Covid-19. Told it is mild and I am still active 59 yr old, but I am a little anxious to understand how this might progress pending speaking to a medical professional whenever that might be. Any

No Dice - Back to Bath for Laura
Hi everyone, forgive me for disappearing, but this has been a bit of a saga, as you will see. Well, these are very weird and difficult times, so quitting my weekly train trips to London is a good thing. However, giving 6 months to the discomforts of the Dice Trial, only to have it fail, is pretty disappointing

Amiodarone rant...
Hi all, just need to have a rant! Last July I was admitted to CCU with an episode of Afib. A chest X-ray showed that I had mild infiltrates on my lungs and despite this and having COPD, they discharged me on amiodarone! My follow up appointment was for May - 10 months later! In February I became aware

Invalid Spirometry?
I contracted flu in late January and was really poorly.A couple of doctor’s appointments showed low blood oxygen levels and a spirometery test was booked as a result of being an ex smoker, The results showed moderate damage, however the nurse performing the test ordered a chest X-ray as I was still breathless

As guess, what condition (s) do you think I have? Random and general, but might strike accord with someone. Thanks
When I first started thinking "this isn't normal/usual" I thought I had bad sinusitis Then as the months of the year moved on, I thought - as it was time (like now)- that it was

. That time came and went, so I thought it must be my glasses; so I bought new ones.
