Advice re inconsistent and above range FT4 please.
Apologies in advance for long post. GP made me have annual review blood test 21/12/21. Test was done at 8.20am, 24 hours after last dose of levo (150 mcg) and fasting apart from water. Please note, my TSH always appears suppressed because I take Metformin. TSH 0.01mu/L (0.35 - 4.94)

Looking for some advice on blood results which don’t correlate with symptoms please?
Hi there, I’ve posted several times and had excellent support but don’t seem to be getting anywhere with my health. I have attached my latest results which do not seem to correlate with my symptoms. The last set of bloods were last August. My GP wrote to endocrinology and were advised to try Metformin

Metformin changes
Good morning people My hubby has been diabetic for over 10 years. He was put on Metformin, but had trouble initially with diarrhoea and bleeding from his back passage. He was advised that it was to do with the bulking agents used to make the meds and after a few months of trying different brands he found

AICAR is similar to Berberine
Update 6/29/22: Berberine may be neurotoxic. It is off of my stack: https://healthunlocked.com/cure-parkinsons/posts/148177820/finding-some-negatives-on-berberine-i-will-keep-digging ========= So I stumbled across this article while searching on Honokiol: Alpha-synuclein-induced mitochondrial dysfunction

Yet one more Metformin and statins query
Please spare me the guffaws and head shakes for asking once again about the value of these two medications in treating prostate cancer. I ask because I was informed recently that they may be beneficial if one has received radiation treatments particularly. No, my witch doctor did not tell me this.

Metformin gestational diabetes
Hi Anyone taking metformin to control their gd. I'm worried about taking very high doses. Especially when I am trying really hard to control diet and my testing sugar levels are mainly in range. I might have the odd spike in the evening.

Glyburide and CKD
Hello, I take glyburide for type 2 diabetes. I recently switched pharmacies and my new pharmacist was surprised I was taking this medication as I have stage 4 ckd. However, my doctor doesn't seem concerned. Should I be worried that this medication could further hurt my kidneys. Thank you.

I am a Parkinson's patient with Type II diabetes. My Metformin treatment and Trulicity treatment for diabetes is believed to cause problems with my Parkinson's. It's a "catch 22". I also have neuropathy in my legs and feet caused by my diabetes. I cannot afford to stop treating either the Parkinson's
