Can the effects of Metformin, for diabetes 2, cause irregular urinary flow effects akin to that of Prostate Cancer side effects?
I have both Diabetes 2 from March 2020, when started taking Metformin, and Prostate Cancer, June 2022. I have had urinary flow symptoms from March 2020, seem to have worsened, could that be indirectly be a side effect of the Metformin?

Metformin and hormonal resistance
I was looking over my notes from a Snuffy Myers talk at the PCRI in 2014. Here are my notes from the talk: Men with metastatic PCA and on hormonal therapy often become hormone refractive. If PTEN is present, then hormonal failure is almost guaranteed. If PTEN is blocked, hormonal resistance is

Studies show a 25% reduction in the onset of open angle glaucoma with this drug due to its IOP lowering effect. Is anyone taking metformin for pre-diabetes? If so, has your IOP been lowered? https://www.lifeextension.com/magazine/2017/1/metformin-reduces-the-incidence-of-open-angle-glaucoma

Question for diabetics or anyone who knows the answer
Also, I've been on
metformin
for about 20 years. She has suggested
glyburide
or glimepiride as a replacement. She said Medicare won't pay for brand names, but I don't think she understands that I don't have a Medicare drug plan.

PROBLEM WITH TOES
I have type 2 diabetes, since 2019 and my bloods are well controlled with Metformin. For the last couple of weeks my toes are very red and sometimes feel hot. Should I contact my gp.

Advice for a 19 year old with PCOS in the UK
My partners daughter has PCOS and I really don't think she is getting the help she needs. Metformin is making her very sick and has severe diarrhoea. Her weightloss just isn't happening. Any advice would really be appreciated

Prostate Cancer Patients Shouldn't be so Quick to Dismiss Metformin (despite some contrary opinions on Advanced Prostate Cancer forum)
([i]Note this study didn't include patients with prostate cancer. I post it to provide an alternative to postings here that discourage use of Metformin by prostate cancer patients. Metformin strengthens your immune system, reduces inflammation, moderates glucose levels, and provides resistance against
