Metformin/POCS = Pregnancy ?

Hello,

Does anyone have any success stories from taking metformin to regulate/induce a cycle and subsequently falling pregnant? Currently on the waiting list to look at IVF but just about to start metformin.

Take a look at nhs.uk About metformin - it explains how the medication is sometimes used to manage symptoms of PCOS.It does this by lowering blood sugar levels - this can improve ovulation and encourage regular periods.

I got pregnant the first month of using Metformin slow release I ovulated roughly 2 weeks after starting it alongside taking conceive plus & a reduced carb diet x

Ahh congratulations, did you have any cycle before starting Metformin? Im not sure how I will tell if im ovulating as I have a non-existent cycle - hoping the metformin will start this (has worked for me before in my teens) x

I did but it was extremely irregular, I started mid cycle after an ultrasound and done ovulation tests every 2 days until I got my peak, so highly recommend stocking up on some LH test strips / clear blue smiley indicator ovulation tests x

I took it for a year an I still didn't get pregnant successfully.

I did take metformin and it did wonders, regulated my cycles and I started ovulating on my own. Check your TSH as well.

I needed ivf for male infertility factor.
