Yes, dietary sugar can "feed" PC? (And heart disease!)
Many have noted here that PC, unlike some other cancers, depends more on fatty acids than on glucose. I’m nudging 70 and in November decided to lose some weight. I have about 5lbs to go and have lost 1st. I recently had a blood test which has shown my LDL (4.11) and HDL (2.39) have risen as has my BP. I follow a fasting ( 5days until 1pm and 2days until 7pm) and low carb (not keto 100-150g) diet of loads

Weight loss & tachycardia
Weight loss & tachycardia Can weight loss make your heart beat sound louder? Is weight loss associated with increased tachycardia? I’ve had paroxysmal AF for 8 years. 1 cryablation, 1 RF ablation which has reduced my AF. I go in to AF about once every six weeks, usually in my sleep and CV with pip

Alcoholic liver cirrhosis and kidney failure
Hi, I am new to this site. My husband (age 42) was admitted to the hospital in February, as his blood results showed a very high bilirubin count and high CRP. He was yellow and also he had a distended abdomen. However, a day later he was back at home with some antibiotics and laxatives. Since discharge

LVA Surgery - Unsuccessful...?

Hypothyrosis and Hashimoto
For the antibodies that are increased (Hashimoto) it is important to take SE and have a
gluten
free
diet
. The therapy and doses take 4-6 weeks to show the real impact/ results. It is normal that if your TSH goes down, fT4 goes up, don't worry about that.

Chips!
The hardest part of LCHF is not eating potatoes and specially chips. Last night I tried celeriac chips and they came out really good and nice tasting. Cut celeriac into chips, blanch the for 2 mins, drain, put them back in the empty pan, add some whole nut oil and turmeric or mild curry powder, put

Onycholyosis and psoriatic arthritis
I went to my GP yesterday and she had never seen anything in her life like my nails. I suggested I had psoriatic arthritis as I stumbled upon similar photos as I searched google...yes I know....google and all that. Anyway I had onycholyosis last summer on 4 nails which grew out then about 3 weeks ago

Neulasta troubles
Hi Friends. My oncologist added Neulasta to my chemo regimen (Abraxane) because my counts have stayed high enough to have chemo on days one and eight, but then they tank, and I've had to wait a week to get the day 15 dose. It's been consistently that way since the first series. This last time he ordered

Will a being on a ketogenic diet effect Blue Horizon blood test results?
Have had my Mum on a ketogenic diet for the past week and expecting to receive the test soon. I'm wondering whether a very low carb diet will effect the readings.

Lots of gas/bloating causing lump on right side of abdomen, should I be concerned?
Hey guys, I'm on a restricted
gluten
free
and lactose free
diet
. This has sorted out my bowel habits, 2/3 a day of normal bowel movements which is wayyyy better than it has been. However, the last few days I've had lots of excess gas after evening meal and it's been more uncomfortable than usual.
