Cosentyx and BG levels
I had about 7 good years on Simponi then it started 'wearing off'. My rheumie has started me on a relatively new biologic called Cosentyx. (She said she's had quite a bit of success with it.) I have also been diet-controlled border-line diabetic for over 10 years. (i.e. no meds). At the same time as

Hi there, I’ve made it to Week 7, Run 2 before posting but have devoured the advice here and enjoyed reading posts. I’m amazed I can run and generally set & end MapMyRun when I set off/finish the 5 min walk so avg 9km ph. Two days ago, setting off with a bg around 7.8, I set MapMyRun just for the 25

High sugar levels gestational diabetes test negative
Hi ladies, I wonder if anyone has any advice? Every time I see my midwife I take a urine sample, and around 2 months ago a high amount of sugar was found in my samples. Since then every time I have an appointment high sugar is found. A month ago I had a glucose test and my results came back as negative

He has upped the prednisone and then is tapering it off through the upcoming weeks. I am a 59 year old male. I also have

Went from Stage 3 to Stage 5 in 2 years - low protein diet?
I was first diagnosed with CKD in August 2006. I noticed blood in my urine and went to an urgent care and they sent me immediately to the ER. My BP at the ER was 260/140. The doctor in the ER tried to lower my BP too fast and I passed out and almost went into a seizure. I was in the hospital for a week

Has anyone seen this research paper or similar suggesting that the BCG vaccination may help lower blood glucose in tyoe 1 diabetics? If confirmed it throws more light on why people get Type 1 and may offer hope if a future treatment. Potential mechanism for BCG vaccine reversal of type 1 diabetes: Data

Lupus & new diagnosis of Diabetes: uncontrolled blood glucose came on suddenly. Anyone else diabetic?
Hi folks, after years of blood tests where my blood glucose level was in the low 5s, I seem to have suddenly (over a few weeks) started with full blown diabetes. My blood glucose was in the mid 20s & I was drinking litres of water as well as dashing to the loo several times a night etc. before it occurred

Accu-chek performa nano
Hi. I was just wondering if anyone else has used the Accu-Chek performa nano blood glucose monitor and wether you are getting a higher reading as than you would expect? I have done a comparison between a pura life monitor and the performa nano and the nano consistently comes out very much higher.
