High cholesterol and subclinical hypothyroid

Hi... been away for quite a while after my last post and here is my current bloodwork.. my last tsh level was:

TSH :2.7 (0.3 - 4.64 refence range)

T4 : 18.4 (9.1 - 24.4 reference range)

T3 : 4.53 (2.23- 5.35 reference range)

and my iron count has increased now by few points. But i still am feeling tired (especially after a meal - i would sleep involuntarily and wake up 30mins or 1hr later) :(

I had my blood glucose level checked

glucose : 5.0 (3.9-5.5 reference range)

HbA1c : 5.3 / 34 mmol (<38 mmol normal reference range)

it seems normal (according to reference number and doc seems to agree) but i will do the 2-hr-glucose test tomorrow to check on my insulin resistance.

I know my cholesterol result is pretty bad with all those flags... how can i lower it down with hypothyroid (means its harder to lose weight - doc ask me to lose weight but refuse to help me fix my thyroid :(

i only lose 1.3kg in 2 months going gluten free and then doing 100g carbs a day with 16:8 intermittent fasting (glucose helps me convert T4 to T3 so going keto will not work for me)

Im at lost :( thanks in advance for your kind input on this query.

Sorry you've had no replies to this post ~ I wouldn't worry about your cholesterol levels, they won't harm you, despite what your Dr may say. They have little understanding of thyroid issues. Please read replies to post next to yours of a similar ilk. You are obviously hypothyroid and need treatment. I hope you find someone to treat you soon. Learn all you can from posts and links on the forum ~ it helps to understand this somewhat complicated condition. Good luck🍀 x

Thank you so much, i really appreciate your reply. Ive been to several doctors here (malaysia) and none are willing to medicate me due to my ‘normal’ thyroid readings :( i will keep on trying though and will keep on reading. :)

Yes, unfortunately, poor thyroid treatment seems to be a universal problem!! To further put your mind at rest re cholesterol levels, have a peek on drmalcolmkendrick.org or buy his book the great cholesterol con ~ for thyroid perhaps nahypothyroidism.org and for general health and understanding of how the body REALLY works, you could watch the many videos on you tube of American chiropractor Dr John Bergman. Just a few tips ~ hope it helps. Best wishes ✨xx
