I had just switched oncologist and he has scheduled for this test to be done. Appointment in a few days. Those that have done this, please what does it entails? Blood draw/urine/or saliva, or worse case, biopsy? I have never done this previously. I think someone here said Foundation One sends you a

Decipher test canceled due to high Gleason 8
Has anybody ever been told that genetic testing on their biopsy was canceled due to high Gleason? We got this call today and I can’t figure out what it means? The tumor was going to be sequenced by Decipher. Thoughts appreciated!

Depression and anxiety
A lot of you will know that I have been going through difficult time as heart failure patient caring for a more infirm heart failure patient. I have been struggling. When I went for my rehab assessment I was offered counselling which I felt I didn't need but the nurses explained that the service adjusts

IBS-D and Anxiety
Hiya all, I'll try and keep it short and sweet. I was diagnosed with IBD (proctitis) 2 and a bit years ago after a year of suffering from horrid symptoms. I was in school at the time of my flare and would have to go to the toilet up to 26 times a day which as you can imagine caused a lot of anxiety

Unfaithful partner causing my anxiety & depression to be worse
Once again I’m up late thinking about my terrible life I find miserable most days. I’ve had depression on / off for years and was on medication for it. I stopped when I got pregnant and things seemed to be going ok with my then fiancé, we got married and had our baby the following month. I found out

My Marriage, My Depression
Just need to vent..... No one to talk to..... Depressed about it......I've been married for almost 6 years, together almost 8 years. I'm at my wit's end on how to save it. I've come to learn that love just isn't enough. We was arguing a lot. Now we just don't talk much. We don't even sleep in the same

Some questions/discussion topics on fatty liver
Hi, Was advised I had a fatty liver at the end of 2018 (likely from alcohol, but see one of q’s Below). 1. Alcoholic fatty liver vs non alcoholic, is this more the treatment for it as opposed to two different diseases? I.e, neither are medically distinguishable? How are people who eat badly, don’t exercise

anyone's husband refuse to move to donor eggs?
I am devastated to say the least, after 5 years of fertility treatment including 4 fresh IVF cycles I have had to come to terms with my only option of becoming a mother is with donor eggs. I attended counselling with my husband to talk about donor and out of it came the fact he just " is not into it"

PV in your twenties
I was diagnosed with PV 3 years ago, at age 49. I have learned to accept my new normal, have responded well to Pegasys, and am doing well overall. The support I am seeking from this forum is for my 28 year old son. Abnormal blood tests have led his physician to suspect PV. He will be doing genetic testing

Dont lose hope
When my husband got back from deployment in the middle east, he was always agitated and depress. Things were never the same, he was never the same. Maybe it was everything that he had witnessed while he was there or maybe it was being back to a normal life that he could not adjust too. That's when

How to regain a positive attitude
4.5 months post Ivor Lewis, my husband seems to be in denial as to how his life has changed , he is angry and frustrated that he can’t do things as before, he has no enthusiasm to do jobs etc which he did without thinking before his op because he knows he hasn’t the stamina to spend hours on one thing

GENETIC TESTING
Other than myself, has anyone had genetic testing done to see if you carry the gene for kidney cancer? My oncologist is also a geneticist and had me tested and my tumor also, due to the fact several family members have had kidney issues but no cancer. I have the gene so I will be watched a lot more

Blue Horizons Genetic Test Results.... Can anyone help explain what this means for me?
I’m just wondering if this suggests I should try T4/T3 combo - would these results be worth discussing with an Endo? Also I have Mirena Coil and Oestrogen patch....maybe ditch the patch? I know I don’t handle stress well and believe prolonged stress caused my Hashimotos... The TSHR - is odd as I am Hypothyroid

Will it ever get better?
Hi everyone, I’ve written a few posts on this forum talking about my struggles with health anxiety. I’ve been suffering really debilitating anxiety for a few months now after it was triggered by a health scare. Ever since then I have been unable to focus on anything except for my health and the range

still struggling
it's been a while since I posted on here. i wish i could say things have totally turned around for me, but the truth is that things are pretty much the same. EXCEPT the one thing i did manage to do was to get another job. this job has excellent benefits, pays slightly better than my last job, and

Thyroid surgery
My endocrinologist has just recommended I get a lobectomy. I have one benign module and one module that has been identified as suspicious by genetic testing so he says there is a 50% chance that I have thyroid cancer. I am not interested in having surgery if I do not have to! I have chosen for now to
