When my husband got back from deployment in the middle east, he was always agitated and depress.
Things were never the same, he was never the same. Maybe it was everything that he had witnessed while he was there or maybe it was being back to a normal life that he could not adjust too.
That's when he started seeing Dr. Mike Schreiner. Apart from his counselling, the doctor gave my husband a silver Ever Hope bracelet which had symbolic value to it, it represented betterment and hope.
The bracelet worked as a constant reminder for my husband that he can get through it, that things will improve. Sometimes something so little can help make a difference.

Thanks for the lovely post and I am so glad your husband got help.
Sometimes it is hard to hang onto hope but whenever I can't I just wait a little longer.
My message to anyone struggling is please don't give up; even though you can't see it now there is a way through this. Hold onto whatever gives you hope and if there is nothing that gives you hope, just hold on and keep trying x
