Exhausted in caring
I’ve been caring for my husband for the past two years since his brain injury and working full time. I have had help but it’s all self funded so it has been a struggle. But due to lockdown and shielding (he has other health issues) over the past 10 weeks I have worked full time and cared for my husband

Rust - A Personal Essay on the Normalization of Abuse
Rust. A Personal Essay on the Normalization of Abuse I have one memory in life of my father crying. I don’t believe my brother ever witnessed such an anomaly. Once I asked my mom if she’d ever seen my dad cry. In their 30 years of marriage, she told me there are two occasions where she thought she might

16 year old losing too many friends
Just looking for advice on how to help my 16 year old adhd daughter who has great difficulty with sustaining friendships.. She has, over many years, been able to make only a few friendships, but after several months, she is invariably rejected by her friends... I think that it is because she gets overly

Feeling alone
I am dealing with a lot like we all are and I’m at a point to where I feel like I can’t take it anymore. I lost a child 3 years ago 2 weeks after her first birthday and went through a hell of a custody battle for my other children which turned out the same way we had it before we went back to court.

Getting there
One of the forum’s members posted an update on how they were getting on which I thought was lovely as it showed that they had come a long way with their recovery! When I look back on the last eight months I too have come a long way...I still have a lot to work on but slowly, slowly catch the monkey and

Fluid build behind babies neck
Hi People, So couple of days ago I had my 12 week pregnancy scan but was devastated to learn that there was a lot of fluid behind babies neck ( 9 mm - should be 1-2 ) suggestive of chromosome problems. As of the large amount they mentioned that nature make takes its course but also very small chance

genetic testing
I did some genetic testing to see what meds work best for me, and found out some scary info that could affect my health. But I am now taking a medicine that works for towards treating it, and am already feeling better. I just want everyone to know, that everything will get better, and even though things

Second post in here today but I haven’t been doing counselling since the corona virus has started and I need to talk to someone.... I’m really worried about my mum she’s anaemic (low iron) and she’s got something wrong with her sinuses At her old doctor that she saw last year when we were living back

My story - so far
Hello fellow riders Thought I will update you on my status which might give some hope to newcomers and share data with others in similar positions. First a recap: Diagnosed April 2018 PSA 23 Gleason 9 , cancer escaped the capsule so no surgery for me. PET/CT PSMA found no distant/bone mets but several

Survivor of verbal and mental abuse
Verbally and mentally abused as a child, I married a man who continued the abuse as a young adult. Through counseling, study’s, education, and support, I found the strength to regain control of my life, thoughts, beliefs and emotions.

I'm new and could use some feedback
So I just had a counseling session, I was sitting here thinking that it felt good to connect with my past and let some of that out. I have been contemplating for some time now about writing a memoir about my life and how I thought I had it all together until this moment. How I prided myself on overcoming

Genomic and genetic testing
Hi. Can anyone direct me to an outline of these in the context of advanced prostate cancer? I assume for genomic testing that a sample of the tumour is needed. Genetic can be done with blood sample? Are both needed? How can either guide tx? Husband currently on xtandi and ADT but down the line this

Probably Genetic Survey
Their lab is CLIA-certified and CAP-accredited and you will get a

session in addition to your result report. Importantly, this is a clinical test designed to test if a patient's symptoms are caused by genetics.
