Has rage caused my flare?
I am so angry and disappointed that my best attempts to taper prednisolone to the lowest I have achieved in five years has failed. After four years at 8mg and recent twelve weeks of counselling support for my long term PTSD I was so pleased with myself for managing a slow taper via 7.5mg to 7mg. Big

Computer test results not in line with ADHD - what now?
So my counselor told me I have ADHD but she wanted me to get the official diagnosis from a doctor or psychiatrist rather than from her. Last month I went to a family practice doctor that specializes in ADHD (he was listed on the ADDITUDE list of specialists). At the end of the first appointment he

Worst case scenario?
I was diagnosed in October 2021 at age 45 with mets to pelvis, femur, spine, ribs, lungs and scapula. I had gone to the ER with severe hip pain. I was shocked to find out that the cause was cancer. My PSA was 140 and the biopsy showed Gleason 9. Genetic testing didn’t find anything helpful. Initial oncologist

Going abroad but can only do a short protocol. Any experience with short protocol?
Hi everyone. After 4 failed transfers with top grade embryos, I’m planning to go abroad for embryo banking next month to see if I get any good blastocysts (due to work I’m not able to go for long durations) I’ve been on two icsi long protocols in the past and first one they only got one C grade embryo

4th failed cycle - where to go now?
Hello, I have just had another fail, this being my 4th IVF cycle and don't know where to go from here. Is it time to give up or is there still hope? Cycle 1 [IVF, long protocol] > 6 eggs, 5 mature, 2 fertilised, x1 early blast Day 5 = failed implantation Cycle 2 [IVF, long protocol] > 5 eggs, 4 mature

repeat genetic testing
Should one get genetic testing again after using Xtandi/Zytiga/for a period of time to see if there have been any mutations which might be helpful in deciding what direction to take next? thanks

Struggling more than ever
Hi all, I’m finding life harder by the day and it’s now starting to affect my work, sleep patterns and my drive in general. I split from my fiancé in June last year following me having outbursts of uncontrollable emotion, I was doing more harm than good. I’m now starting to notice that I’m struggling

ICSI PGT/A testing
Hi, my husband was diagnosed with balanced translocation in November. We are currently on round 4 of IVF with egg collection approx 1 week away. If I’m lucky enough to have any embryos to send for pgd/a testing, do any of you know how long will it take for the results to come back from the genetic testing

Negative pregnancy test, is it over?
Hi all, my wife and I are going through IVF. We had one fertilised egg which was transferred just over two weeks ago. Yesterday was our first pregnancy test and it was negative. We've been asked to do another tomorrow and if it's negative then we stop the progesterone. My wife seemed OK yesterday but

Feeling Alive
For so long I can remember being unhappy with my life and the situations that I keep finding myself in. So many times I felt like the world would have been better off without me in it. Too many times I've hit rock bottom and had to crawl my way back up to a position where I can function. And that nagging
