ICSI PGT/A testing

Hi, my husband was diagnosed with balanced translocation in November.

We are currently on round 4 of IVF with egg collection approx 1 week away.

If I’m lucky enough to have any embryos to send for pgd/a testing, do any of you know how long will it take for the results to come back from the genetic testing lab?

Many thanks. xx

Hi lovely, sorry to hear you’re having to PGD test, another added expense isn’t it!

We did PGD too as we had high numbers of embryos and didn’t want to risk more and more transfers to find the “right” one….

I think ours took about 8 days for the results, much quicker than I was expecting and I was pretty stressed as we needed them back before my period started (the next day) to start meds!

Best of luck xx

That is much quicker that I thought, for some reason I had 6 weeks in mind as that’s how long our karyotyping results took.Xx

Yes I thought exactly the same. Karaotype tests took forever!!!Xx

Same for us, it was about a week and a half for results to come through. Clinic had advised it could be up to 3weeks though.
