Thyroid Results dating 1988 onwards. Comments welcome.
Fell ill 1987 and was diagnosed chronic fatique/m.e. Currently I believe I have central hypothyroidism and hashimoto's running concurrently. Had auto immune attack on thyroid at end of June 2021. Have thyroid Perioxidase antibodies showing 13.3.20 and 24.2.22. Thyroid readings for central hypo suggest

Denosumab if bone strength increasing on ADT?
Hi everyone, my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 PCa last year (multiple bone mets). He has responded well to ADT so far with PSA dropping from 500 to 0.65 in 14 months and corresponding decrease in PSMA avidity seen in scans. At the time of his diagnosis he was advised Denosumab because a Dexa scan

When Anxiety Strikes
“One [thing] I have learned is to live for the day and the moment rather than looking back to the past or worrying about the future. I also have discovered that it is best to live within my limitations—to step back and take things easy if I’m having a bad day. Otherwise I only find myself frustrated

Update primary hyper parathyroidism
Apparently it’s only mild but many symptoms overlap with endo and menopause and the hrt I’m now on. Happy days. I now need a genetic test to check for familial something or other depending on the outcome parathyroid surgery is a possibility. Interesting the gp said that although you can choose your consultant

My mind is a mess right now. Haven't been on here in a long time. Still going along with therapy. New therapist. Only medication at the moment is Hydroxyzine. Currently waiting for genetic testing for medications, as well as, CT scan of my brain for possible pituitary adenoma. Diagnosis: PTSD, OCD, Anxiety

Sudden arrhythmic Death genetic testing
Should I get tested for genetic factors for sudden arrhythmic death? Is that just a blood test? My elder relatives aren't around. My doctors still don't know what's going on with my heart since my "event" in September 2021. Would the testing possibly show why I had the "event"? I'm new here and put

Feeling ‘flat’ a year after bypass
I am a year post op after an ‘out of the blue’ heart attack and triple bypass. I have also been a Type 1 diabetic for 42 years. I had an unremarkable recovery. No problems apart from a wound infection months after operation when I also had COVID. I wasn’t really ill then either. My life has returned

COLOR GENETIC TESTING
Hi all, I've seen a few posts about taking the COLOR test which tests 30 genes for any mutation. The cost is $249, but there is a clinical test going on called PROMISE and they cover the cost of the COLOR gene test. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04995198 I participated in the study and just

Acute, major depression after 3-month Lupron injection, from a new poster
I haven't posted my prostate cancer bio here yet but I intend to in the future. I had a prostatectomy along with my seminal vesicles and the left side lymph nodes proximal to the prostate. Gleason 4+3 N0. The cancer had escaped the prostate which could only partial be removed since it was microscopic

3rd failed transfer
Just done our test this morning and it’s negative 😥 This was our 3rd and last embryo on our NHS cycle. I was on the long protocol this time with a period of down reg which really messed with my mental health to the point I needed anti depressants. I’m 41 and feel like this just is never going to happen

Got medication but theres a catch
So this morning I finally got hold of a DR tried everyday last week. I told him about how I am feeling and he was trying to say my issue is due to returning to work. Even though Ive felt unwell before then. I asked him about treatment and he's telling me to refer myself to counselling. I tell him I need

Thought I had Sporadic Cerebellar Ataxia but my Ataxia is due to Niemann Pick C disease (late/adult onset)...
I was diagnosed with Sporadic Cerebellar Ataxia (idiopathic) when I was 49 years old. Over the years, I had genetic testing for the more common dominant and recessive ataxias, which were always negative. In 2017, I had genetic exome testing which showed I had one Niemann Pick C (NPC) gene. My neurologist

Trying to get past best friend leaving the relationship
I had a best friend for most of my life. About 5 years ago, she started to exhibit controlling aspects to the friendship, and accused me of never being there for her, not being a good friend etc., to the point that just having her call me, caused anxiety in me. 2.5 years ago, I started seeing a counselor

Is anyone familiar with Canadian resources? (B.C. Canada)
It was suggested to me by a GP and my counsellor that I have ADHD and should be assessed (later found out that a psychologist also asked my parents to seek an assessment for me when I was in elementary school but they refused) I was referred to a specialist by one of the GP's, the assessment cost me

65th bday last Sunday (Dx'd in 2015) Did 65 miles over two months with Bonnie and did a bday 5k. #10 Cabazitaxel right now, just got Lupron
PSA up again to 2.8 from 2.5 with a nadir in this 3rd course of chemos at 2.1. 31st chemo overall. Have a phone appt with MO to see next step, looks like 9 Cabazitaxel sessions didn't do it. Taxotere failed in 2021, so did Abiraterone and then Xtandi in 2020. May be time for a PSMA scan, since I'm on

I need advice. I overshared with my mother in law
over the weekend I was emotional telling my mother in law about my parents being alcoholics and that I was afraid when I have children they won’t be able to support me because I can’t trust if they’ll be sober. Then I proceeded to say I’m afraid my husband (her son), wouldn’t be around to help me that
