Running was always just a dream.
I never liked running even as a kid. As an adult I was overweight and out of shape and running just wasn't something I could do. But last year I had a gastric bypass and it really changed my life. I lost 75 pounds and decided to finally try to run! And I am! Just not very fast. I completed the C25K program

Gastric Bypass Surgery?!
I just got out of my appointment with my rheumy about pain levels and, as per, I had to bring up the 'Why is it everyone just wants to talk about my weight' conversation. I mentioned getting a wheelchair, had new crutches and was rather proud of how I was moving around, but no. He wants me to be free

Symptoms common after gastric bypass
POSTER'S COMMENTS: "Pain and other symptoms of discomfort are hard to bear and potentially worrying. I am posting these research findings as it is reassuring to learn that a relatively benign procedure carried out in patients without a critical morbidity (IE Cancer) still leads to long term side effects

My blood tests have been whacko for years but no investigations ordered. During a gastric bypass my surgeon

Gastric bypass
Hi all, I had a gastric bypass on October 8th and a few members asked me to let them know my progress. I have lost 4stone 5lb during this time !!!!!!! It's actually been a lot easier than I thought it would be. I'm now eating normal foods but sticking to the healthy option. The fibro is still in fine

Feel doomed
I have just gotten back from the hospital where the Dr told me after an ultrasound and scan that she she can't see my ovaries because of my weight and that I shouldn't worry about no periods until I've sorted my weight and considered a gastric band as its very dangerous. Now, I have no problem with
