Options other than Mirena coil
Hello, Sorry, this is going to be a bit of a long one, but I want to give my back story so that hopefully I can get some much needed advice. I was diagnosed with endo at the tail end of 2015. Ever since beginning my periods at age 12 they were always excruciatingly painful and heavy. At age 18 I started

Bleeding during sex is this a symptom?
Hi all Was just wondering if anyone else suffers with bleeding during/after sex because of endometriosis? My gynaecologist thinks I have endometriosis but only a little bit because of my other symptoms, bad pain, back pain, bloating, bad periods etc. I then started to bleed during sex and they thought

Second lap soon... nervous!
Hi everyone, So I had a lap 2 years ago by a general gynae and nothing was found. Also had a normal ultrasound. Paid privately to see a bsge specialist and on physical exam he felt nodules so booked me in for mri and another lap in his nhs clinic. I went to see him yesterday and the mri came back clear

Having a bad day.....
I'm sat here trying to be positive. I was diagnosed a few years back with endo. Tried different things and in the end went in for keyhole. It went really well and honestly recovery was fab and I felt instantly better. I had the mirena coil fitted to be proactive and again, all went great. Surgery was

Post-Surgery
Hello, all! I'm new to the site and have a few questions for my fellow gals suffering with endo and PCOS. On October 22, I had a endoscopy, D&C and IUD placement surgery. Everything is healing good, but I've never had a surgery like this and don't know what's "normal" while I heal. First off, I have

Mirena coil- only option- your feedback would be appreciated!
Hello. I had the worst flare up I’ve had for a long time a few weeks back. I was throwing up with the pain and spent several days in bed sleeping/on strong painkillers. The dr has recommended the mirena coil. I’ve had this recommended to me before but have been terrified! Now I feel it’s my only option

What pain is normal Post Lap? Can ibprofen gel work?
Hi, I had my first laparoscopy on Wednesday which diagnosed Stage 4 endo with deep infiltration of the bowel & douglas pouch. Am walking very slow when i do move ( also had chronic hip pain past 3 years which could be due to this endo) and avoiding any bending as its very sore but I was only given one

Can I get pregnant after multiple laparoscopies?
Hey everyone. I was diagnosed with stage II endo when I was 19, I had 3 laparoscopies in between the age of 19 and 22 (I’m 25 now), each time they said I had scar tissue and adhesions around ovaries etc but did their best to remove them during surgery. I am now trying for baby #1 but I’m worried I have

When admitted what do you give consent for them to do?
Hope you lovely ladies are having a pain free day. Re laparoscopy, depending on what they find when they carry out the procedure. Do they ask you to consent to things like a hysterectomy, coil etc......? X

Sodium valproate and contraception
On Wednesday, I attended a consultation with my daughter's neurologist and epilepsy specialist nurse. We were to have a discussion about my 15yo daughter's sodium valproate. She has been on Epilim Chrono since she was 7yo. I was told that, as of two weeks ago, the Health Department's policy is that all
