Really painful periods!
Hi all, I'm new here and have recently been diagnosed with PCOS and the sister of endometriosis - 'Adenomyosis'. I had the mirena coil put in a last month but really struggled with the pain and as a result went to A&E and had it removed straight away! Not a good option 😔 anyway, since that experience

Has anyone had bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy?
I've been having chronic pelvic pain for quite along time now. Was diagnosed with PC IS IN 2012. Have had scans ultrasounds and an exploitative laporoscopy and nothing was found. Have been on combined pill, mini pill, implant, drop and currently have the coil in. The mini pill helped my pain for around

Bleeding on various hormonal contraceptives? It would be good to know I'm not the only person like this....
Hi all, sorry in advance for the long post but it would be good to see if anyone's going through or has gone through the same thing. Basic background is that I've had endo for years and have been lucky with pain reduction after lap excision a few years ago. My problem is that they're now trying to get

Tamoxifen & the Mirena coil
Hi everyone I wonder if any of you have or had oestrogen positive breast cancer and also have a coil fitted. My oncologist told me it was safe to leave the coil in place whilst taking tamoxifen as it may help with some of the side effects. Whilst talking to a friend who has the same type of cancer as

Sickness, nausea, endo & mirena coil
So I’ve nearly had the coil in for a year, I have let it settle down and thought it was finally working. Much lighter periods although still not regular but much less pain with them. Anyhow I’ve recently had what I thought was a sickness bug, and then total loss of appetite for two weeks. When I have

Post op bleeding with coil
Hi Ladies, I’m 6 weeks post lap and I’m still spotting and bleeding. I did have the coil fitted so wasn’t sure if that’s why. I’m still in a lot of pain but I’m def recovering from the op itself, it’s back to my normal pain prior to op but just worse as I’m bleeding. Was on cerazette prior to op and

Will the coil help endometriosis of the Bowel?
I went to my GP with suspected endometriosis, specifically of the bowel, and she pretty much just told me to get the coil fitted without referring me for any follow up tests or conclusive diagnosis. For many reasons, I am terrified of having the coil fitted. I have psychological trauma from childhood
