Was just wondering if anyone else suffers with bleeding during/after sex because of endometriosis?
My gynaecologist thinks I have endometriosis but only a little bit because of my other symptoms, bad pain, back pain, bloating, bad periods etc.
I then started to bleed during sex and they thought there was something wrong with my cervix. I have had that all checked out and got the all the clear. But don’t know why I’m bleeding!
Going back to gynaecologist some point this month to talk about the coil maybe helping my pain. But this will not help with the bleeding will it? Also I have heard so many horror stories about the coil I don’t want it!
Has anyone had the injection? Does that help?
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated

I had spotting / bleeding and a sharp cervix pain during sex. Had a smear done and it even bled during that. Results came back inconclusive - they usually ignore that when it's a standard smear but because it bled during the smear the GP called me back to actually have a look with a camera type thing. She said it looks like cervical ectropion - where the sensitive cells further up the cervix appear at the base; which can cause pain and bleeding as they're more easily damaged. I referred myself privately to have it chemically removed - less painful than the NHS method of cutting it out. The bleeding and stabbing pains stopped altogether. I still had the deep inside uterus type pain during sex until I had my lap to excise my endo.
You could see if you can get a second opinion about your cervix...see if they can repeat the tests / smears and visually have a look.
I also did bleed during a smear and after every examination. I had the camera too but he said everything looks fine. But I don’t understand why when it’s touched it bleeds and not just little!
Can I ask if you had any other symptoms for endo and why they done the lap. Everyone I speak to says they don’t like to do laps unless it is the very last resort.
Have a read of my history, it'll give some insight and may answer your questions:
"All this effort does pay off - my story - hope it helps !"
I think you can find it via my profile.
It very much depends on which doctor you see regarding your lap, a good doctor will want to find out what the problem is first then work on treatment. Most non specialised doctors including NHS will just brush us off with painkillers and hormones because we'll go away for a while. It's horrible that we're not listened to and that we really have to push for what's best for us.
First thing is get yourself referred to a good specialist that know about endo, bleeding, etc. Mine is Mr Kaloo, google him and it'll give you an idea of the type of specialist you want to have look at your problems. I think you can go to BSGE centers around the UK, but I've not been to one.
