After being totally gobsmacked in December having been told I had zero lining due to scarring, surgery in January, coil and progynova treatment, current cycle taking 3 weeks of progynova to get up to an acceptable lining not to mention the fluid that appeared a week ago......this morning I had a 5 day

Its been a while..
Its been a while since my last posting here... and you guys were SO helpful with that I'm hoping someone can help me see the light in this. I'm gonna get a bit personal so if you're squeamish don't read further. Okay...so I went to the gynecologist to get an IUD placed in, it's a inter uterine device

Feeling hopeless about diagnosis
I know I had posted about this a while ago, but to be honest I was just out of the laparoscopy and just upset and not thinking right. Anyways, I had pain with my periods ever since I got them basically (age 11). Always crippled every month for at least 3 days. Missed school, family gatherings and basically

Being Diagnosed/MRI/Mirena Coil?
Hey all, I'm new to this whole thing so I guess I should start by introducing myself ha. My name's Georgina - I'm 25 and I've recently been diagnosed with endometriosis. I'll admit, I've been extremely lucky considering how long it takes most women to get diagnosed! This time last year I couldn't have

Pelvic pain clinic meeting left feeling hopeless
I had my pelvic pain clinic meeting today with the endo specialists, basically they just ignored everything I tried to tell them though. I was diagnosed with endo and had it surgically removed in November and it was stage 1. But I have still been suffering severe pain especially before my period is due

Help, pain and bleeding with the Merina coil
I had a Laparoscopy back in August 2017 to diagnose Endometriosis and to have the Merina coil fitted. I have had little to no pain while I've had the coil but unexpectedly I have begun bleeding. I made an emergency appointment the same day and was told the the hormones in the coil must be waring off.

Any advice?
So, I'm new here and I have been suffering with really bad period pains and pain outside my period for 5 + years. I have been on nearly every type of pill and had an IUD fitted but nothing has worked. I am referred to the gyn in two or so weeks time, as my doctor is almost certain now that its endometriosis

What next?
I’ve been back to see my GP because my op hasn’t really worked last time, just been advised by the doctor that they didn’t removed any endo because it’s attached to my bowel and they may damage my bowel so they fitted the coil to help, this hasn’t helped at all, hence why I’ve gone back to get referred

Nothing found after Laparoscopy
So after another year of on and off pelvic pain , back and forth to the doctors, then specialist I opted for a Laparoscopy and to also have the Mirena coil fitted at the same time. So after my lap the surgeon came out and said she found nothing! So now I am very confused! Is the pain being caused by

9 Years of A+E to 2 Years pain free!!
Hi all, I found this page so useful over the years so I wanted to post about my own experience which may help some. So, at 14 I started having extremely bad 'period pain' this meant I missed days of school and over the years missed work, events, and so on. In my late teens the pain took a dive so I

IUD Coil
Hello, i've had my IUD Coil over 2 years now, but i've noticed i have a smelly discharge most of the time now. Infection has been treated and all but it still persists. I have used it before and didn't have this issue. My question is, does IUD increase the risk of infections (thereby having a smelly

Pacemaker and AV node ablation
I have been meaning for a while to write this post in the hope that it will help those going through the dilemma of whether to take the decision to go through, what is termed, as a final option. The run-up before taking that decision is daunting. I have had three ablations and exhausted all the different

Now have I moved my coil or have I just caused a twinge in my bowels?
So I've had my copper I.U.D in for a year now, I checked my strings last week in the shower (thankfully) I felt the strings and felt the normal uncomfortable feeling that I get when I touch them. But when I stood up there was black liquid poo on the shower floor and it was still coming out my back end

Newbie...Possible Adenomyosis (or Endometriosis or Fibroids)!
Hello, I'm new here and wondering if there are any who have had a similar situation to me. I am 43, had severely painful and long and heavy periods in my teens and 20s. Went on Depo Provera in my 30s for 5 years which was amazing. No pain, no period, no migrained. Came off it and still no pain or migraines

Next steps
Hello all, I got properly diagnosed in February for endo after key hole surgery. My endo has attached itself to my bowel so you can imagine the pain. The consultant thought fitting a coil was the next best move to see improvements. It’s been three months now and the only improvement I’ve seen is lighter

Still got abdominal pain after IUD removed
I had my copper coil changed in Nov 17 after my previous one ran out after 5 years. it was changed to a 10 year one. Since it was swapped I have ongoing abdominal pain most days. I would describe it as period like pain low in my abdomen. I had my coil checked after 6 weeks and swabs taken, all normal
