W4R1 Running for the first time in my life at 56. Can’t believe I am actually enjoying it, got to admit today was really tough, but feel so good that I did it and are looking forward to the next run, loving the app would have never got this far without it. I’m running at a slow pace at the moment but hoping as my fitness level starts to rise my pace will get quicker

Congratulations on getting to week 4 of C25K, you are about half way through the course, you seem to be enjoying every minute of your runs, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 4.

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

If it is tough you probably need to slow down.

Can you speak aloud, clear, ungasping sentences as you run?.........if not, you are going too fast.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.
