Currently doing Couch to 5K with my step daughter, W3 R3 tomorrow night. Enjoying it so far, I am trying to raise my fitness for my annual fitness assessment, I am an on-call firefighter based in Shropshire.
We are stretching before runs as well as doing cool down stretches afterwards, which appears to be helping. I need to be better at managing my hydration as I don’t drink that much during the day, save for a couple of cups of tea. Our runs occur around 5pm every time, would drinking more help me in my performance/recovery?
This community is great, I enjoy reading the other posts from everyone.. keep up the good work guys!

Hydration does help prevent your legs feeling heavy and aching, although I’m as guilty as you in that I’m not a big drinker of water throughout the day. I am trying to drink more though as i have found it does help.
Good luck to you both with your W5R3 run 👍 🏃♂️🏃♀️
