Confused?
Hi, yesterday I downloaded the NHS app for my COVID pass information, under my medical conditions it lists liver steatosis (last april U.S) and renal
fibrosis
? (November U.S). I thought renal was kidney related?

Open Myomectomy
I'm meeting with my surgeon today to discuss my upcoming operation (not keyhole) to remove 7 large fibroids (probably scheduled for Dec/Jan). What sort of questions should I ask the surgeon? I'm feeling a bit blank. Thank you.

Hi all, I had my baseline and measured 8.1mm. Happy with that since my last one on my previous successful pregnancy was 7.4mm. Frozen Embryo transfer booked for next Tuesday. I’m very excited and just want it to come, at the same time I’m just so nervous. Anyone else having the ET same time or there

Partial hysterectomy -long term side effects?
I have lots of fibroids including really big one and will probably need hysterectomy. I would get to keep ovaries and cervix. Still I read some side effects like back pain, hips pain, loss of sex drive, aging faster. Just would like to hear from women who had this done - whats your experience? I'm not

Tibolone experiences?
Hi there - can I ask if anyone can share their experience of Tibolone HRT after been giving injections to medically induce menopause? I’m only on day 2 so well aware this is only early days but I already just don’t feel quite myself - that’s the only way I can describe it - like I’m not quite me?! Hoping

Panic mode activated :(
Feeling very much like a drama queen - but after a year and a half of no periods I bled really heavily last week - so heavily I called doc for tranexamic acid which helped years ago when I eventually had fibroids removed - he didn’t want to chalk it up to a post menopausal bleed as I’m not 50 yet so

New and scared
She said its advanced
Fibrosis
so we are treating it as Cirrhosis. I had an ultrasound scan a few days ago and the tech said that the liver is enlarged and very corse but doesn't look quite like Cirrhosis.

A small molecule induces readthrough of cystic fibrosis CFTR nonsense mutations
An experimental drug reported in Nature Communications suggests that a “path is clearly achievable” to treat currently untreatable cases of cystic
fibrosis
disease caused by nonsense mutations.

Bleeding on Desogestrel. Had enough now!
So I've been on Desogestrel since May to control/stop my erratic and heavy bleeding. It's done an okay job, I've had small bleeds here & there which I've put down to the fact I'm a nightmare for taking it at the same time every day. And I have missed a few days here and there. However, this morning

Reconsideration of peak flow as asthma deterioration measurement
I think doctor should reconsider the peak flow device as main effective method for asthma diagnosis, I think such device is only helpful in patients with non inflammatory asthma like COPD or lung
fibrosis
, I remember when I was 15 I had lost consciousness due to severe asthma flare up, and I remember

Liver fibrosis diagnosis
Got a question when I got treatment for hepatitis C and virus was gone I asked doctor if I had cirrhosis he said no. He said I was in between f2-f3 if that. He said he didn’t need to do biopsy. And when he took my gallbladder out he said liver looked normal. He did a ct scan with contrast and showed

Rising ALT
I will be talking to my GP on Monday, but my questions in the meantime are: - Some people have said they ended up being diagnosed with
fibrosis
or even cirrhosis with fibroscan scores of less than 7kPa - is this rare?

Interesting appointment today.
I was pretty set with my specialist's approach but I also agree with my local hematologist with the sooner the better and possibly halt progression/
fibrosis
and start with smaller more tolerable doses for cytoreduction rather than "wait" and take large doses that I maybe intolerant too.

UK pharmacies in dark about ministers’ plan to maintain drug supplies
The headline might be a bit overdone but, as you read, it is clear that we simply do not know what is happening. Nor what will happen. This follows at least one post about delays in getting Teva levothyroxine - which must be one of the most common thyroid medicines.
