Hi there - can I ask if anyone can share their experience of Tibolone HRT after been giving injections to medically induce menopause? I’m only on day 2 so well aware this is only early days but I already just don’t feel quite myself - that’s the only way I can describe it - like I’m not quite me?! Hoping things don’t get too bad but any personal experiences to gain some insight would be great.
I’m pretty sure my injection started with a D but can’t remember!

Hi Endo94, sorry to hear you're not feeling like yourself since starting on Tibolone. HRT treatments have a range of side effects that we have to navigate, just remember you're not alone in this, the community is here to support you.
I'd like to share the Endometriosis UK Treatment guide with you, as there is really useful info about HRT and the side effects: endometriosis-uk.org/sites/...
Hope this is helpful, and that you start to feel more like you soon 😊
Hiya, I was on those injections and Tibolone for about four months prior to one of my surgeries. In my case - I dunno if this will sound weird but here it is! - I definitely felt quite strange and not myself but it wasn’t a bad thing, just different. My physical pain was somewhat improved. The way I see it - these are powerful drugs, and the effects can be great, terrible, strange, or just ‘meh’, and it’s all a bit luck of the draw what you get. But then endo is a powerful disease! And we’re all already dealing with that and surviving.
My advice would be to deffo see your GP or call the endo nurse at the hospital (if they have given you a number) if you get definite bad symptoms (the Patient Info Leaflet will list some of those) or if you are really scared or anxious about it. But otherwise perhaps try to roll with it for awhile and see how things go? Things might settle down in a few weeks. Or, if you’re one of the ones it really helps, you might even feel loads better!
Ive been on prostap and tibolone for six months now. To be honest they have been a lifesaver to me, having horrendous endo and pmt symptoms before. I do feel exhausted and I've put on a lot of weight but that's about it. x
