Blood test abbreviations
Hello, My daughter’s received blood test forms from the hospital in advance of an appointment with an endocrinologist (her first) and we’re just wondering what the abbreviation AVD on one of the forms could be. We’ve googled, none the wiser. Anybody familiar with it? Thanks

results of 156
Hi, I’ve just finished a course of loading does and had a blood test following which the receptionist has told me has come back as 156 and no further action required however my symptoms have been getting worse not better. Should I contact my gp again or just carry on until my next does in 3 months?

Anyone know where I can get the following Blood tests done?
Hello All, Trust you are all doing well. Just trying to find somewhere that offer the ANTI-SPERM ANTIBODY (FEMALE PARTNER) & ANTI-DNA Blood Tests? My Clinic dont offer these and struggling to find somewhere that does. Really wanting these tests done as heard they can impact re-occurring failed implantation

It’s “BACK” again…Ugh
Six days ago i thought the back pain was, after three months, fading away. Not so, unfortunately. I am writing down everything I eat to see if a new friend from here can give me some advice. This morning it is very painful. Since i am away from my country and doctor I will wait until May to see him

Affordable hCG tests for medicated FET overseas
Hi everyone, How do you go about getting hCG tests done, if you aren't with a UK clinic? My GP told me that NHS doesn't offer blood tests. I prefer getting my blood taken from veins to finger prick type collection. Any tips and experiences will be appreciated.

B12 or something else?
Hi About 2-3 years ago, during lockdown when it was difficult/impossible to see a GP, I started taking B12 supplements 3-4 times weekly. Whilst not wanting to diagnose myself, I felt I had little choice given the GP situation, plus my daughters are B12 deficient, and had the same symptoms as myself

Secondary Hypothyroidism…anyone?
I’m trying to build information for an upcoming appointment with my rheumatologist and have discovered from recent blood tests that I may have secondary hypothyroidism (my symptoms certainly fit). I know there is a link between Methotrexate usage and secondary hypothyroidism. Does anyone have this diagnosis

Help with timing, drinks etc for MonitorMyHealth Test
I was wondering what the best practice is for taking blood samples at home for a Monitor My Health test. I usually try to sleep 10pm-6am, and I have breakfast around 7.20am. However sometimes I don't sleep that long, for example today I slept from 10pm to 4am and couldn't sleep any more. I usually

Morning all, apologies for my patchy posting, what with planning and actually moving over the next few weeks, organising a music festival and coping with medical stuff, life is a bit hectic and "interesting " at the moment. Coping so far though. (I think!!!).Anyway, had a long chat with the doc yesterday

Common Vitamin Deficiencies in PD?
I want to get a Vitamin deficiency blood test and I am wondering what vitamins to test for. The big ones I know I am going to look for are B1, B12 and D. Any other vitamins or non vitamins to look for?

Riboflavin (b2) supplementation is a no-brainer for Parkinsons
Riboflavin (b2) is a complete no-brainer. 0 side effects and dirt cheap. Especially if your second and third toes any toenails are full of fungus/athletes foot. The Chinese believe that your second and third toe is a place where toxins leave the body. The Chinese believe PD is “stuck” in fight or
