Hi all, following on from my last post, have just heard from my clinical nurse that they have found three very good donor matches on the registers!!
Have been somewhat impatient waiting but as this situation is so new and different for everyone, has been difficult to gauge what is right or wrong.
Anyway my Nuclear medicine tests have come through as “normal”, so just have X-ray and lung function tests to do before I see my consultant @Addenbrookes in a couple of weeks time who will confirm the plan of action towards stem cell transplant.
As these confirmations of new blood tests etc can take several weeks, am able to take a weeks holiday in Devon to visit my Brother-in-law who recently moved there with his wife to be close to their children now he has retired…
🥰to all donors.
🤞🏻and ❤️ to you all. (Keep positive and live for today)

Wow, , that must of been a lump in throat call and possibly bringing a mixed bag of emotions along with it. . I've known via others both ends of the register match scale , , from zero to a potential 127 which I was a tad sceptical about but included a range. However three very good candidates is a brilliant result.Hope your tests go well and in the meantime enjoy your break in Devon.
